Let me start off by saying I had purchased a regular Elm327 (with the orange/blue label) off of another site previously and had a horrible experience. Most of the others available out there don't work on Fords and a number of other vehicles even though they say they do. Needless to say I have a Ford Mustang and it didn't work.

After talking with some people they convinced me I should give this one a try and that it really works on ALL cars. I figured why not, I can always return it.

I got it, plugged it in, fired up Torque on my Droid phone and BAM! Sure enough, it works GREAT!

Even if you don't have any trouble codes to clear on your car (though it works great for that) this is a fun toy to have for any car geek. It gives awesome stats for everything from RPM/Speed plotting graphs, to 1/4 mile stats, HP info, acceleration info etc etc...... best toy for your car ever!

The reader does come with a CD that has some free versions of software on it. I personally didn't really like any of the programs it came with so I downloaded the Torque program for my phone which is MUCH nicer.

All in all.... I definitely, recommend this one!

Does everything I needed it to and more. All i really needed this tool for was to read and clear some trouble codes. BUT.... after I got all the taken care of I found there were so many other cool features this device has when used with the TORQUE program for my Android phone that I haven't been able to put it down yet! Great buy!

Purchased this to use on my 12,000 truck. Code came up as being a bad O2 sensor. Thing is is that my truck has 4 o2 sensors! Well...... after using the detailed screen that shows the readings from all the electronic emissions parts I was able to isolate which O2 sensor was bad rather than pulling off each one and checking one at a time! What a great time saver!

I had no problems pairing this with my acer 7" tablet. It worked with both my vehicles. A 1996 Mazda B2300 and a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is a great device. I downloaded the best android app for OBD scanning. Its Torque and I didnt try the free app I bought the $4.95 Torque Pro after seeing the maker of the app is serious about keeping it up to date and bug free. You can check it out for yourself but I did the research. Bafx is a company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They also stand behind thier products and offer support like the maker of Torque Pro.

The pairing code 1234. The first time was difficult to have it connected with the Galaxy S.
But with some configuration it worked after I read the instructions they included (DUH! SIlly me!).

this is one of the best Bluetooth that I ever use I try the other brand and didn't work so I can tell you this one work great with torque so if you want to use toque get this one

Have not been able to get it to work at all! The worst part about it was that I bought one for a friend thinking that it was a great gift idea for anyone into cars. The instructions say that its a simple bluetooth hook up, well Im pretty good with any bluetooth gadget and this one has stumped me! It tells you to look for the bluetooth icon when you connect it and download the app and I can tell you that ITS NOT THERE??? I'm using a MYTOUCH 4G and it doesn't work.

Donot reccomend it!!
