Level Headed with BAL,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've read rave reviews on the pop-up trailer forums about this device and decided to try it. The BAL device cradles the tire of our pop-up and with a little ratchetting action gently lifts the tire and thus the side of the camper until you stop ratchetting. You can be so precise with side to side levelling, which is so important if you run a propane refrigerator. No more trying to drive the camper up onto a stack of boards.

I find this a great alternative to blocks for leveling. I am using it with a Coleman Fleetwood Utah, a mid to large size pop-up of about 3100 pounds unloaded.
While it can take a few minutes of elbow grease to crank it up or down with the ratcheting box wrench (included), it gives you great control over the leveling and eliminates the guesswork of how many leveling blocks you need. It also lets you position your trailer exactly where you want, unhindered by your best-guess placing blocks and trial-and-error backing onto them. Another benefit is that this unit also serves to very securely chock the wheel from any movement in either direction, allowing much less play than wheel chocks. The only possible negative that comes to mind is that I suspect it may sink into the ground in sand or very soft mud since its footprint is smaller than leveling blocks, but I have not experienced this - every campground I've been to has been firm enough despite rain, and I'm not sure I'd ever pull my camper onto a beach or risk getting stuck in muddy areas anyway. It folds flat for storage, taking up very little room in my storage bin. One of the better things I've come across for the camper.

This product came shipped and packaged as advertised. No instructions required, the product does exactly what you want it to do with little effort. Not sure how it could get anything less than 5 stars. We camped at a grass site on Memorial Day weekend and got significant rain, re-leveling the trailer was a breeze. I plan to get one for my brother Mario for his trailer as soon as he gives me back my lawnmower.

Works with my new Travel Trailer,

I have had this leveler for about 6 years now. It has help up perfectly over those years with extensive camping trips with varied conditions. I originally bought it for my popup camper (2000 Dutchmen Voyager) and when I moved to a Travel Trailer (still small, a 16' Takena Curv), it worked seemlessly.
I have never tried using Lynx levelers but just from appearance I cannot understand why anyone would opt for those instead of this. I see so many who have small single axle trailers still using blocks, Maybe they just don't know about the Bal yet. A Great convenience!

I bought one of these for my pop-up tent trailer 5 years ago. This and the accumulator I bought for my Shurflo waterpump (to keep it from cycling on/off all the time) were the two best things I ever did for that trailer. Keep in mind these work for light single-axle trailers. I simply park the trailer exactly where I want it, chock the high side, put the BAL on the low side, and between the BAL and my tongue jack, I'm levelled in 30 seconds. I carry the BAL while I'm travelling strapped to my tongue and leaning against my 2 propane tanks, and the long screw which has grease on it in a 1 gallon zip-lock in my tool kit. Very nice. No more lego blocks except under wildly unlevel conditions. Wouldn't camp without it.

BAL® Light Trailer Tire Leveler
My husband and I purchased this to use with our 2010 Rockwood 1904 Pop UP. It came highly recommended by the folks at Popupexplorer.com. We found it to be an excellent device for leveling our camper. It also helps to stabilize the popup by providing a secure brace for the wheel. The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend this device to all Light trailer users.

I used this on my small pop up camper for the first time and was fantastic. My camper has 12" tires and it worked just fine.

I have a small teardrop trailer, and I cannot back up for anything. Leveling the rig used to be a nightmare and I could not do it alone as I had to back on to pieces of wood, check level, roll off, take off or add to the pile, roll back on, rinse and repeat. Now I just slide this up to the wheel, and crank! So easy even I can do it alone, and I am a LARGE 50 year old female. Save yourself some time and get this.

Yes I think its a little pricey but man o man does it make leveling sooooo much easier. Much easier and less time consuming than the blocks or pieces of wood. If you got the spare cash its worth the price for the time and stress it saves you

If you have a small camper, this is the easiest way to level it. No more stacking blocks and backing up over them, and repeating the process to get it "close" to level. You park your camper, chock the high side and slide the BAL around the tire of the low side and level it with the BAL. This product acts as a wheel chock while it lifts and levels your camper. Super easy and quick to set up and use.
