This is a truly beautiful Barbie doll. I was never into dolls when I was younger (and of course they didn't have Princess, Mermaid or Fairy Barbies in the 80s that I knew of... or I would have wanted them!) but my two daughters saw these in the store and had to have them. We bought the Aqua one with the dolphin and the Purple doll with the Seahorse.

They are glittery on their tails, which thankfully doesn't come off so you don't end up coated in glitter. The hair seems very realistic and is soft and fluffy. The doll came with a large brush for her hair and also a little ring to clip the sea animal to her tail. Neither of my daughters wanted to use this option but DID love to play with the cute sea animals as much (or moreso) than the dolls! If you squeeze her hips, you can feel a round "button" underneath and pressing on both sides will cause her tail to move. This is so she seems to be "swimming" underwater. They don't dry out that fast, but seem to be fairly sturdy and each doll is unique with their own details and "clothing" and "accessories" variations.

Very pretty, and can be included in bathtime fun as well. No complaints here...

My 7 year old love playing with this dollin the bathtub. It does not have much educational value, however, it is durable and good for imaginary fun. I would recommend this doll to all children who like to play with dolls.

Very fun idea, but multiple times it has broken and torn within a few days of purchase. The plastic fin breaks off and is im possible to keep on, even with super glue. The all plastic fins are better and do not break at all.

Its a fun toy however if you wiggle the tail to much your get a tear where the joint is.

I don't know if there is much else to say! My 4.5 yr old just loves this mermaid Barbie!

My 4yr old daughter has 2 of these Splash & Style Barbies. She LOVES them. She also has one of the other mermaid barbies whose tail does not move. She and I both think the movable ones are better and more fun to play with. We can't have bath-time without them.
My only complaint is that the fins of the tail break off easily. I have been able to super-glue both of mine with great results and it hasn't impacted the toys play value.

Tail Fin fell off almost immediately after removing from box. My 2 and 4 year old girls love the doll but we can't keep the tail on for more than a few seconds which is frustrating for everyone.
