The BARSKA 10x25 WP Atlantic Monocular was not our first choice. We juggled with four other potentials, including two high-priced units, until choosing between this one and the Barska Blueline 10x40 Close Focus Monocular.

Because this Barska 10x25 offered waterproofing (which means unlikeliness of fog), along with a lower price, we chose it instead. The 10x40 model does offer better benefits, including the large 40mm objective lens that gathers more light for increased clarity and color fidelity. However, lack of weatherproofing and ruggedness for outdoor enthusiasts like us would prove challenging.

Thus far, we are quite pleased with this purchase, but will be sure to update this Review should our thoughts change in the field.

I bought this to avoid the bulk and need to unfold smaller binoculars. It does the job perfectly! Fitting in the palm of your hand it provides a great picture and it is rugged to boot.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my hunting enthusiast father. Works well for his needs without being too extravagant. Buyer Warning: The description says it comes with a NECK STRAP. It is actually a wrist strap and I am very disappointed as he was looking for one specifically with a neck strap.

Just returned from out west from Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce,Arches National Parks. These binoculars made veiwing animals and sites as good as it gets. Highly recommend them. No problems at all.

Unfortunately, due to travel, I was unable to return this due to the returns window being longer than my trip. I opened the box and tried it when I arrived home, and its obvious the quality control is missing since the monocular is VERY unclear at all focus ranges, effectively rendering it useless. I have ordered a more expensive, hopefully higher quality, scope by another maker. Caution.

While this product gives a clear, well focused image, it is impossible to use with eye glasses. The eye cup does fold back, but will not stay folded back. When I inquired about it with the manufacturer, all I got back was agreement that it would not stay folded. Not very helpful.

I bought this to take on my kayak. It's light and way smaller than the antique Army issue binoculars I have. It focused pretty well and I was able to get closer to wildlife. I dropped it in 2 feet of water the other day, for about a minute. After sitting in a bag of rice for several days, it will not focus. The eyepiece turns, but the lens does not change. The glue on the grip has also come loose. Not as waterproof as I had hoped. At least is was pretty cheap.

I was looking for a roof prism binocular with 8x or 10x magnification that was weather sealed for use in tropical rain forests. I was not looking for a high-end binocular because the risks (damage/loss) associated with my intended usage are high. The Barska Atlantic appeared as the best price/performance, I bought mine from a vendor in USA and had shipped overseas. I was lucky and no accidents occurred, the bino arrived in perfect conditions. The binocular produces sharp and contrasted images with good color saturation, it has no noticeable chromatic aberration and shows good field flatness. The handling is ergonomic, the large focus knob and the interpupillary distance are very easy to turn and set precisely but the diopter a bit harder. All in all, I recomend this binocular for birding/tracking/hunting in rainny environments

I had to return the one that I purchased. The optics are terrible and its impossible to focus anything that is more then 30 feet away.

Purchased the scope for using the bus. I am legallay blind and needed a scope to take some abuse. This fits the bill. Would purchase again. Not as fog-proof as i had hoped but in the heat and humidity of the great state of texas what can I expect.
