i got the item fast that is about all that was good about this item i used it like a week before it broke i used it for a 22lr pistol and all this glue looking stuff broke apart inside covering the lense there is no way to fix it so i rate this as a crappy item thank you

This Barska is a fully functional red dot scope. It is designed for fast target aquistition in low light through very bright conditions. I have used this scope at night and in bright sun with snow on the ground.. (check out my photos) This scope looks great and fits perfectly on my Classic Army M15 but you will need to use a rail riser. It also fits perfectly on MP5 with no riser needed. (UTG brand)

The front lens came unglued on mine too. It now sits at an angle to the body and there is no way I can see to fix it. I had high hopes, but it let me down.

I bought the Barska red dot finder 30 days ago 9/17/2010. It has been used only 4 times and now the front lens has become unglued. I use the spotter for spotting on a telescope and not on a firearm. As a result, there was no vibration or recoil to jar the lens loose. This is not the first post I've read concerning the lenses coming loose. Because of the benign purpose I would use it for, I thought I wouldn't be affected, was I ever wrong. Of course I'm one day over the Amazon 30 day return policy so I just paid 32 bucks plus shipping for a piece of junk.

I'm amazed by the quality of this scope, given the price. The optics are goods, and the dot has 11 brightness settings that go from very dim (for night use) to bright (for use in the daylight). If you're looking for an inexpensive and basic red dot scope, go for this one.
