10" BATTERY OPERATED INDOOR/OUTDOOR FAN with ADAPTER

We bought two of these fans and put them in our hurricane preparedness kit. When we lost power on September 12 from Hurricane Ike, these two fans kept us calm and cool at night for 14 days. We ran them from 10:30 pm to 8 am each evening using eight Energizer D cell batteries in each one. We only had to change the batteries once in each fan during the 14-day period running them on low. All our friends who were without power started looking for some, but they were nowhere to be found after the hurricane hit. Thank goodness we had found them well in advance of hurricane season. They saved our sanity and our marriage!!!!

I bought this fan to ventilate my bathroom - nice small size and lightweight. But here in hurricane central, it will provide relief during power outages with the battery option. highly recommend (although I found what appears to be the same model - with adapter- for 13.99 at wal**t.

Very nice fan. If when you receive the fan, it makes noise when you turn it on, loosen the screws just a little on the back. Mine were just a little too tight, the two screws at the middle, but after loosing those screws just a little, now it works without noise. Very pleased.

I bought this fan because we were going camping in a space without electricity. I MUST sleep with a fan. It ran 5 nights in a row from 9pm to 8am on 8 d cells. fan puts out a good amount of air and does not have an annoying sound. ( i like fan sound). I highly recommend this fan.

bad. hardly moves the air when running on its AC adapter.

i tried contacting the seller on this issue to see if maybe i had a faulty adapter plug, never heard back so i dont know if its an issue everyone is having or just me . if using this thing indoors is not an issue with you, then by all means buy it for outdoor use, but as i was considering using it primarily indoors i am very dissapointed

Boy this thing gets heavy with 8 D-cells inside. Spreading the base out was odd with a sticky/springy feel to the friction-hinge which made me think something was about to break and the battery compartment lid would pop open if I didn't keep my fingers on it and when closing it I had a tough time getting it to latch, but it worked. I would have liked if it was a flat design instead of that curve to make storage/stacking easier so I wouldn't have to keep it in its box.

In use during a hot weekend of car-camping it was sweet relief from the heat. Low speed good, high speed great; and when my turn came for some campfire smoke I just spun the fan around and switched it to high and blew that stuff back to where it came from. Also, when cooking time came around it helped save the genius's who set up the grill in the hot morning sun from a little extra abuse.

The power adapter worked good with a slight increase in speed when you plug it in to tell you you're saving battery power.

This is a great fan. I haven't been without power which prompted me to buy the fan. I am using it corded on my nightstand to help with the "hot flashes". It appears to be as powerful on battery. I was amazed at how fast the fan was delivered. I had it within 3 days of the order. Good job...

I purchased this fan during our very hot summer. It worked very well and I was able to easily take it from the back deck to any where else where I wanted to read and be comfortable at the same time. We also used it during meals outside, where it not only cooled things down but also kept most of the flies away. It's easy to put in the batteries, folds for storage and has a sturdy handle. No need to replace the batteries yet. Very nice product and a good value for the price.

I bought this fan for a camping trip. The battery option works better then you would think, but unfortunately the ac adapter didn't work, really no big deal I had plenty of batteries. Well to make a long story short after I got home I left a review about faulty ac adapter and shortly after that (days) not weeks they responded with some choices for me on what they could do to make this right. I asked for a new a ac adapted and to my surprise a whole new fan showed up today. They did not need to do that. That is what I call good business. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
