Plain old sudoku is boring, placing Battleships can get a little repetitious, but WOW, this variant blends the two in a wonderfully addictive combo. It starts with a nice little introduction to battleships for those who haven't played the paper version, and quickly goes to the full 9 x 9 sudoku battleship puzzles. Solving is fun as you go back and forth using both techniques to solve the puzzles. I just bought my third copy of the book...I will use pen and then mess up a puzzle! If you liked Sudoku Variants, you will love this book.

I really enjoyed this puzzle book and finished just about every puzzle (skipped some of the easier ones).

The author does a brilliant job of easing you into the game rules by introducing each aspect of Battleship Sudoku to you one element at a time. There are a number of puzzles at each level so you can practice until you're comfortable with the element, then move on to build onto the next element. Kept my attention the whole way through.

There's a good distribution of difficulty in these puzzles. Recommended for any puzzler, especially for people who'd like to graduate from vanilla computer-generated sudoku.

Hopefully this is the first of many titles we'll see from the sudoku and puzzle champ!

This book is for puzzle solvers. If you love to solve battleships and sudoku, you simply must try these puzzles.
I just started to solve them, but I already had much fun. So why wait? Try for yourself!

If you like to play Battleship, or Sudoku, on the surface this puzzle book looks intriguing. But it is hopelessly difficult for those of us who just want a little break in the action and seek a few minutes of game fun. Not a good item to purchase.
