Early Keith Emerson let down by poor sound, January 26, 2000
This review is from: BBC Sessions: America (Audio CD)
Before E.L.P., Keith Emerson explored a fusion of rock, jazz & classical with the 4-piece band (later 3) THE NICE. This CD collects their rare recordings made exclusively for BBC radio, and includes several songs not available on any other NICE package! Sadly, of the many BBC albums I've heard in recent years, this one suffers from the worst sound quality. Sheer irony, as in the 70's, Emerson was one of the few who could play in a sports stadium and actually SOUND GREAT!

avoid, April 3, 2000

In the name of "rare" recordings some awful quality issues have emerged. I love the Nice but this is a travesty. It must have been recorded off the radio. Shame on you record company, I have heard bootlegs with better sound. Give this a miss, it may have unreleased songs but it really isnt worth your time.
