loud hum in channel 2, May 2, 2010

Channel 1 seems to work OK even though there is still a 6dB insertion loss. Channel 2 hums like crazy. I flipped the "ground lift" switch and it only got worse. Changed the cables around, changed the amp, and both made no difference. As of now I cannot recommend this product. My guess is that this one is just defective.
