The manufacturer states that this unit improves phase and amplitude integrity of the final signal which we call Sound. I can say that in my professional studio there is a Presence or Naturalness in the final product which was absent before. I am happy with this device.

I added this piece of equipment between my receiver & power amp & WOW what a sound difference hardly any distortion & not near the amount of volume needed any more. Go out & get one A++++

the sonic max used on my bass guitar amp,was run in thru my effects loop.notice a diffinite clarity in the sound of my bass notes,with a bit of punch.can dail in more treble or bass on the max,only want to dail in just enough ,punch ,a bit like a eq.would suggest using a compessor limitor also .the model i got has two channels ,only using one ,rack mounted into my bass rig.this would be good for vocals and other instruments.

These things are awesome. I own three. I put this one between the preamp and amp on my home, high end, stereo. I am pleased. The price was unbeatable and the service was perfect.

I ended up having to send the 482i back because it was the wrong model for my purposes. Amazon Prime did a great job of responding to my needs. I ended up getting the 882i and plugging it in to my PA system. It was simple and easy to do, and what a marvelous difference. The improvement was subtle in a big way. The vocals were clearer and warmer. The guitars stand out in the mix and the overall sound was more "present". The physics of the process is explained in their user manual, but my advice is to let your ears do the science, and then you'll get it.

got this thing a few weeks back - great buy from amazon - about $70 cheaper than musician's friend. i'm using it through an effects loop in my marshall. the other guitar player has it going through the loop in his boogie. need to adjust the knobs a bit, but it can definitely add some balls to your sound. it's similar to an eq, but seems to clear up the mud and smush the distortion to a nice, clear, punch you in the face sound. it can even add a little distortion. get one, mess around w/ your levels, it's most def worth the money.
plus, it's really versatile. you can use it in your mix in the studio, you can use it in your PA, for vocals, drums, whatever. i heard it in a store through a PA just hooked up to a stereo - turn that mofo on and 'ka plow!' an over simplification of what it does is like pushing a 'loudness' button on a stereo or receiver. it kinda 'un-muffles' the sound as well.

This box made a huge difference in the clarity of vocals in our praise band. The adjustments enabled the improvements without increasing the volumes. Great tool!

To sum up what the BBE process does: it cleans up sound. Unless you hear it I cannot convince you. There's a few youtube videos that demonstrate the sound difference, check them out.

If you're a mobile DJ, you don't have to crank up the sound to the max like you used to. The new sound is so clear and cleaned up.

I think it's been almost two years since I bought this one. I'm shopping for another for my tv's sound bar.

Although it seems to enhance "highs" and "lows," this is not a tone control device. You can't get the crisp clarity on vocals this delivers by just turning up the treble, and the bass this delivers is much more defined and deep than simple EQ. I use mine to get a huge sound on my vintage RCA 77DX ribbon mic. It also works in a very flattering way on my condenser mics. However, IMHO, it is not effective on dynamic mics. In fact, it makes my Sennheiser e835 sound awful. So try it on your ribbons and condensers. You'll love the results. 5 out of 5 stars. By the way, the cheapest model works just as well as the most expensive unit.
