This uniform will literally stand by itself, it is that heavy. It is almost impossible to iron. I much prefer the medium weight uniform. That being said, this is a nice quality uniform. I don't wear it every class because it is too much effort, but it is nice for tournaments.

I like the weight. Not too heavy like canvas and not too flimsy. One can still get a good snap from the fabric when executing a movement.

I bought a Century heavyweight gi a few years and it was better quality than this one. My old one is a size 5 and I lost a lot of weight. I am now 5:6 and 155 pounds. The 5 is a tent and the 4 is way too tight. I sent the two size fours that I ordered back. BlackBeltShop was great to deal with. They didn't charge me the re-stocking fee that was part of the original agreement.

5 stars for BlackBeltShop but only 2 for Century for this mediocre quality dogi.
