5.0 out of 5 stars Quality pants, not too heavy or too light.
Pros:
Quality construction/materials
Wide waist band

Cons:
Might be snug if you are on the heavy side

Who should buy the medium weight uniform? Anyone looking for a nice upgrade to the cheap do balk/Gi most classes provide, but still have a light enough uniform to train in.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap in Quality, yet Easy on the Wallet
If you don't know better, these probably seem like an improvement over the cheapest karate scrubs available, but compared to quality middle-weights, these really do seem like cheap lightweights. I wanted to replace some quality middle-weights that use a drawstring with something equivalent with this type of waist band. In that regard, this type of waistband is much more...

Who should buy the medium weight uniform? Anyone looking for a nice upgrade to the cheap do balk/Gi most classes provide, but still have a light enough uniform to train in.

These Century medium weight pants are a great upgrade to the semi transparent "student" pants. They feel heavy without being to abrasive or restricting. The elastic waist band is wide enough so it doesn't roll down down my waste as I train, but there is no flexibility in the waist size. If you are on the heavy side the uniform won't stretch over a large belly, get a slightly larger size than you need and hem the legs. High quality material and well made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Karate pants, June 2, 2008
I loved this item. Sizes were exactly as stated. I actually like these pants better than what they sell at the karate studio where my grandson goes. I definitely plan on buying more as we need them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and comfort!, April 14, 2008
These are great quality pants. I bought them for my 14 year old son for Taekwondo. They wash extremely well, and are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the uniform. Previous uniforms gave us trouble, December 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My son is in tae kwon do. His previous uniform (which he bought from the tae kwon do school) didn't wear well at all. It fit him properly but the crotch was too low making it very hard for him to kick. He could never kick higher than waist height in the old pants because of the low crotch unless he stopped and pulled his pants way up. The top of the his previous uniform always seemed to come undone alot during training.

This new uniform is so so so much better. The pants fit him perfectly giving him plenty of room to kick because the crotch isn't so low. The top of the uniform stays in place better and rarely comes undone. This is the only place I'm buying my uniforms from now on. thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable lighter Contact Pants, July 28, 2011
This review is from: Middleweight Contact Pants (Apparel)
These are very comfortable and better than most Gi pants I have seen. They are lighter than other Gi pants I have had and have a great waistband as opposed to other ones where the bands/strings have snapped or not been able to tighten properly. This has great quality material and the sizes are correct here. I highly recommend them.

these are the first karate pants I have ever really liked in over 40 years. They wear great, wash and dry easily, come out of the dryer straight - easy to fold, and they look good. I highly recommend this product. There is one back pocket, which comes in handy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good basic product, April 21, 2011

I purchased these several months back. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The fit was perfect. I found the material a little stiff at first but they have slowly softened.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap in Quality, yet Easy on the Wallet, March 6, 2011
This review is from: Middleweight Contact Pants (Apparel)
If you don't know better, these probably seem like an improvement over the cheapest karate scrubs available, but compared to quality middle-weights, these really do seem like cheap lightweights. I wanted to replace some quality middle-weights that use a drawstring with something equivalent with this type of waist band. In that regard, this type of waistband is much more comfortable than a drawstring alone. Another plus is that they have a back pocket. Their saving grace is that they only cost about $20.

On the downside, as I alluded to, compared to real, quality middle-weights, these are thin, light and abrasive, being partially synthetic. They're more of a middle-ground between real middle weights and light weights. Additionally, unlike a lot of other quality pants, they lack any fastener for the pocket. So don't put anything in it if you're training (not that you should anyway).

It's a "for the money, they're decent" thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Medium weight pants., February 27, 2011

They arrived as advertised in new condition. The waist fit perfectly with room to move in and they only required hemming for the perfect fit. I am very pleased with these pants and would order a product from this company again.
