I've been using this thermometer for years for charting purposes and for my two children. It's lasted (on the initial battery) since December 2000 until now (February 2004) with daily temp checks for charting. The continuous beep while temping let's you know that it is working, but it's not too loud to wake a sleeping spouse next to you (or a very tired/feverish child). My 8 year old like to be able to take and read his own temperature.

This thermometer has a lot going for it. It's unbreakable -- definitely a big plus! You don't have to shake it down, which some people have problems with (especially older people with less flexible wrists). And the beeping lets you know that it's working properly and when it's done. My only complaint is that it reads out only in Fahrenheit -- I take a thermometer when I travel and telling a pharmacist your temperature anywhere else needs to be done in Centigrade. (In fairness, most glass thermometers don't read out in both either.)

This thermometer is GREAT! It's my first digital thermometer, and I love it. It seems very accurate, and it's very easy to use (you only need to view instructions the first time). The only drawback is that the tip is so small, I kept worrying I'd bite it off!

I really liked the BD Thermometer. The instructions were easy to read and follow. I liked the ease of using the on/off button but the beeps were kind of annoying. After using the ear thermometers, it felt like the minute wait was very long. However, it's definitely quicker to use than a standard glass thermometer. I like the fact that it's easy to store in the cover, and that it doesn't take up much room. I'd recommend it.

Never gave accurate reading...you could take your tempature 3 times in a row and get 3 different readings

Don't waste your time

The thermometer came just in time for our little one to come down with a fever. Taking a squirmy temp is no fun, but when we told her to be still and listen for the ""beeps,"" she quieted right down and laughed when it was ""all done."" Now both little ones ask if they need their ""beep-beep."" The thermometer was fast and accurate and the beep lets you know it's working properly. Great thermometer and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

I really liked this product. It just so happens my son was sick and we really put it to use! I'd recommend purchasing one.

I absolutely love this thermometer! It arrived the day my 8-year-old came down with the flu. We'd used a BD Digital Thermometer before but this one is much improved. I especially appreciated the positioning indicator that beeps to let us know if we're getting an accurate reading. I recommend it for all moms! It makes our job a lot easier and gives us more peace of mind!

I liked this product because it was very easy to use and read. I'd recommend this to anyone. I just got my first grandbaby and her safety and health mean a great deal to me. This product gives me peace of mind.

This thermometer is simple to use for anyone (young, old, or in-between). It's battery operated (comes ready to use) and has auditory signals to tell you when your temperature has been taken. It beeps until it's finished testing, which is really good for kids. Kids will be able to use this and know when they can remove it from their mouths. The only bad thing is that if you don't hold it exactly in the right place in your mouth, the test doesn't work as well, but it does tell you when you don't have it placed correctly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a simple to use thermometer.
