This book started life as just a collection of fictional erotic stories that had a BDSM theme. But, over the years I have come to understand that there are a great many things that those new to the lifestyle have questions about. There are also some things that are frequently topics in the “I wish somebody had told me” category. I decided to use this volume to provide some of these answers; or, at least, how I view some of the answers. At a minimum, it should give you information that will make you better equipped to find your own answers. The first word of caution I will offer is that there are no rules. No matter what anyone tells you, you must decide what is “right” for you. There is a certain percentage of people in the lifestyle who are of the opinion that what works for them is, by definition, “correct” for everyone. That just isn’t the case. So, I encourage you to approach your journey with an open mind. But, make your own decisions on what is “right” for you from your own investigations. The second word of caution is that nothing is constant. Like all human beings, you are on a journey from what you were yesterday to what you will become tomorrow. There is a certain amount of change that you will undergo in the process of becoming what you are destined to be. What may surprise you is that your single biggest enemy in your progress will be your own thoughts and emotions. The human organism resists change. That is a fact. Anyone who tells you otherwise has a vested interest in encouraging you to change in the way that THEY want you to change. This will not always be in your best interest. Ultimately, you are the only one responsible for seeing that your own best interests are protected. (Although, eventually, you may trust another person enough to allow him/her to protect you, it is still, ultimately, your responsibility.) All books must have a certain amount of “entertainment value.” Particularly those that you are electing to read by your own choice. In this book you will find various short stories. These stories are not related to each other (although, I have had a few requests to do a follow-up to one of them). They are not, in any way related to real persons or events, and are provided to be entertaining, adult reading. However, it is my hope that through these stories, you will get a flavor of how relationships in this lifestyle might work. As they say, your actual mileage may vary.
