I thoroughly researched this product before I purchased it, and still I was a very spectacle. My daughter was day time potty trained at just over 2, but at nearly 5 she still wore a pull up at night. We tried everything from bribery, to waking her up, to just letting her wet her bed with no success. The first night she used the alarm we let her sleep in our room so we could help her get up and understand what was going on. We thought she was just too lazy to get up and use the bathroom. We discovered that this was not the case. She was actually dead asleep when she started to wet the bed. The alarm went off at 3am, woke her (and us) up and scared us all half to death. My daughter cried but did get up and go to the bathroom. She required a panty change, but did not wet the bed. The next night she didn't want to wear the alarm, because it scared her, but we insisted she continue to use it. Again, it woke her up in the early morning hours, but this time she was more aware of what was going on. She got up and went potty. We weren't sure how the alarm waking her up was eventually going to lead to dry nights or her waking up herself without the alarm, but we stuck to it. Most nights the alarm went off she required her panties changed, but at no time did she wet the bed. By the 5th night, she woke up dry with no alarm during the night. She continued to have one dry night followed by one night where the alarm would go off for another week. By the end of two weeks she was consistently dry every night or was waking up on her own to go potty. We continued to use the alarm for one full week of consistently dry nights then gave her the option to go to bed without it. She actually wanted to continue to wear it. She wore it for another 2 nights, and then finally went to bed without it. It has now been 3 months since we first started using the alarm, and 2 months since she has stopped wearing it. So far she has not had a single accident (knock on wood). She mostly goes through the night without having to use the bathroom, or on the occasion she does need to go in the middle of the night, gets herself up. The savings in pull-ups has already more than covered the price of the device. This is by far the best $65 we've ever spent.

I WAS VERY HESITANT THAT THIS ITEM WOULD WORK FOR MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHO IS A VERY SOUND SLEEPER. THE FIRST NIGHT THE ALARM DIDNT EVEN WAKE HER UP BUT THE REST OF THE HOUSE WAS SURE AWAKE WITH THE LOUD ALARM SOUND! FROM THEN ON SHE BEGAN TO WAKE UP WHEN THE ALARM SOUNDED AND IT TOOK APPROX. TWO WEEKS OR LESS AND SHE HASNT WET THE BED AGAIN AND THAT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS AGO. I MORE THAN RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND AM TOTALLY CONVINCED THAT THIS WILL DO THE TRICK FOR ANYONE. MY DAUGHTER HAS ALWAYS WET THE BED AND IT BECAME EMBARRASSING FOR HER THE OLDER SHE GOT. THIS WAS OUR LAST OPTION AND I AM SO GLAD I PURCHASED IT. WELL WORTH THE MONEY AND TIME THAT GOES INTO IT!!!!!

We got this for our 12 yo daughter. The alarm says it works for adults, but I disagree. The cord often came out and the alarm was not loud enough to wake our daughter. Then after about 3 weeks, the wiring broke off one of the pads. It was past the warranty (only 10 days) and purchasing an additional one would be another $20+. I definately would not recommend this alarm for deep, restless sleepers.

I am not a person who writes reviews often, well this may be my first review ever, but this product is not a joke! My 5 year old daughter has been potty trained since she was 2, but she still wet the bed at night. I tried EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, before buying this alarm. After 1 week of use, she totally stopped wetting the bed! I was, and still am, in complete amazement. I kept the alarm on her for 2 weeks, but after a week the alarm never went off and she woke up every morning with a big smile to tell us she got up all by herself in the middle of the night to go potty. THANK YOU for making such a great product. Bye bye pull-ups!

I got this for our 8 year old daughter as she started to wet the bed nightly for 2 months. She had been potty trained thru the night since she was 4 and we weren.t sure what to think. We tried everything from Good-nites (and other brands) to waking up every few hours to get her up to the bathroom. Nothing seemed to work, so we thought maybe this wouldl help.

The first 2 weeks the alarm went off every nite - sometimes twice. By week 3 she was dry all nite, every night. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to retrain to stay dry at night. The key is to stick with it and it will work.

My daughter is older (11), but very petite. Bedwetting has been a very tough lingering issue for us, as she has a very small bladder and is a very deep sleeper. She wore it 3 times. The first time it did not work for some reason. The next couple, it kind of did. Although it certainly wasn't the picture perfect buzzer goes off, so she goes to the bathroom scenario. Honestly at the time I didn't think it worked, and that I had bought a lemon of a product. But, the couple of times it buzzed her awake seems to have done the trick.
All in all I bought it so that she would stop bedwetting on the advice of her pediatrician. She has completely stopped now for a couple of months. So I have to rate this product a 5 star for coming through on it's claims. Certainly not clockwork or an amazing process, but very effective apparently.

This product works! My daughter who is a deep sleeper trained quickly. The alarm went off once every night for 3 weeks. By the 4th week she was dry, no alarm and she's been dry for two weeks straight. Incredible.
If you are serious about getting your child dry at night, this is the alarm to get!!!!!
Update: It's been over 3 months and she's
been dry every night

After listening to everyone's advise on how to get my 51/2 through the night without wetting we finally bought the "CONTRAPTION". That's how we refer to it with my daughter. She had been potty trained since 2 however night time was always a challenge She would go 3 to 4 night dry and then she would wet again. We started using the alarm 3 weeks ago and the thing is so sensitive that it only takes a drop to set it off. We both get up I put her on the potty and she goes. Then I leave it off for the rest of the night accident free. She has now gone almost a week without setting off the alarm. Hallaluah!! Goodbye to Pullups!!

When we got the nite trainr, I was excited to help my 5 year old daughter stop wetting the bed. She is a very sound sleeper and would not wake-up when she needed to go. The first couple of nights she would sleep through the alarm and I had to come and wake her up and get her out of bed and help her to the bathroom, then she started to wake a little on her own, then she started to wake completely and with-in a couple weeks we had our first completely dry night. She still had a couple accedents after that, but soon had no more. Just remember to be very encougaging and praise often when they do have success. I find following all the directions that came with it to be extremely helpful. You just have to be dilegent as a parent. I also discovered a monitor in the room helps you to here the alarm down the hall so you can get up right away to help them in the middle of the night. They will need your help.

I bought this product for my 6 years old daughter and after the first day, she woke up at midnight because the sound of the alarm, and we explained her that is time to go to the bathroom. After 4 nights is over. No more wet bedding and no more Nite train.
