5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoy Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of New Beginnings, April 9, 2009
This review is from: BEGIN ANEW: Re-setting Your Mind's Odometer (Paperback)
Here East meets West - to help you reinvent yourself and experience Personal Renaissance. Never mind your age or stage in life. The book comes with Timeless Time Machine and Beginner's Vitamins.
As the author promises, our quest unfolds along two paths - one to seek, the other to see -- like life itself. On one path we have destinations to reach, milestones to measure progress, fruits to pluck.
On another path, we journey with no intent, nothing to gain, no demand of any kind. Nothing to do but see what is along the way. The destination may not be clear but the direction is compelling. What wonders might lie ahead?
I discovered my Self along the way. What might you discover, or rediscover?
The Beginning of your story is written, says the author. You get to compose the Middle and the Ending. Get your book and pen. Begin. Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Begin Anew - what an appropriate title!, April 7, 2009
This review is from: BEGIN ANEW: Re-setting Your Mind's Odometer (Paperback)
My favorite line from the book is:

"Enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of New Beginnings"

Now here is something I can identify with! It's clear the author practices what he preaches, so this is a definite reason I listen to him. "Begin Anew" has also made some of the implicit truths and wisdom explicit to me. This, in turn, allows me to visualize them better. Which, in turn, enables me to execute my ideas and tasks much more effectively.

How I use the "Meditation and Renewal Triangle."

I also find some of the exercises in the "More Resources" chapter extremely useful. My favorite, together with my staff, is the "Meditation and Renewal Triangle." According to the author, it's not necessary to have your meditating partners in the same room. In my experience, we achieve our shared spiritual experience much quicker when we are together.

We start with deep breathing, then do one or two of the exercises and finish with a 15 minute meditation session. Generally we have our "Begin Anew" session at the start of the work day, around 7:30. It helps us tremendously to give our best to our clients and also to cope with the daily grind...

"Begin Anew" is both a spiritual and practical guide to me. I use it daily. You should too!
