Gets the job done, lots of room for power adapters. The one I received was all dark gray, like the end of the one pictured but I don't care because it's hidden under a cabinet. The swiveling flat plug is also convenient.

I have two (2) of these units, and they are PERFECT for protecting my 2 computers and their peripherals -- they even handle those pesky, odd-shaped transformers and mis-matched plugs without any mess and/or clutter !!The handy ON/OFF switch lets me power down ALL of my equipment when not in use -- and that saves both power and money !! The unit's many features make it a great value, and Amazon.com's low price and speedy shipping seal the deal !!

Good surge protector so far. Nothing has been fried since I've had it, though no power outages or lightning storms to really test it out. One thing I found is that the first time you plug anything into the outlet, there is some kind of plastic thing that you have to push though. It sounds like something inside snaps off. I can actually hear a little piece of something inside rolling around when I pick it up and tilt it. Not sure if there was some kind of child proofing on the socket but with no instructions and no obvious switches or latches to push/pull, I had to push past whatever was in there. Works fine other than that. I probably broke something while plugging things in, but hope it doesn't hurt the surge suppressing capabilities of the thing. All in all(assuming I didn't already break something) I like it and would recommend it.

Does The Trick!,

I bought a couple of these for about $8/piece. I see the current price is about $27. I would not pay that price because that puts you in the ballpark of Monster Surge protectors. Also, you can usually find the Belkins on sale somewhere. Anyway, these surge protectors are awesome. There are enough outlets for most electronic items that you may have in any given room. The spacing is decent as well for those darn plugs that lie horizontally and tend to cover multiple outlets (I hate those and can't figure out why they make them like that). I don't recall the joule rating on it but I believe it was decent. Please be mindful of the difference between these protectors and power strips where power strips offer no protection. There are connections for phone lines and cable lines but running electrical lines through additional adapters I believe induces more interference, so I have not used them. Overall, it does the trick. I am happy with the product. I think I own like 3 of them now.
