This review is from: BENRO B SERIES Ballhead B-1 (Electronics)
This is the smaller of a couple similar Benro ball heads. This one is capable of supporting about 26 pounds. That's more than enough capacity to support a pro-DSLR and a substantial lens. It features a drag knob to make the ball head move more slowly when the main ball head knob is loosened. If you have it tight enough you can loosen the main ball head knob and adjust the camera without it flopping. The smallest knob controls the panorama feature - twisting the ball head on the tripod without adjusting the tilt of the camera. It has marking so you can adjust it using degrees. The main ball head knob is for controlling the pitch of the camera, including setting the camera in portrait mode. This ball head has one cut-out so you can set the camera in portrait mode. The set comes with a arca-swiss plate that can be mounted on your camera or on your lens plate. One caution - this plate is slightly larger than standard arca-swiss mounts so does not work with lever operated Really Right Stuff quick release clamps. It works fine on screw locking clamps like this one and any other type that claims arca-swiss compatibility. This comes with the required adapter for using the ball head with either 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 screw threads (standard tripod mounting screws). This is a heavy duty ball head - if your gear weighs less than 26 pounds, it's one to consider!
