5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome product!!
As many of us know tear stains are a pain, my puppy never had any serious tear stain problems until the weather changed. I came home and found big brown tear stains under her eyes and got really upset because they just made her pretty white coat look bad. None of the other dogs in the house have tear stains, only my puppy does. Well, I thought I was prepared because I...

I tried this solution,as recommended on our Bichon Frise. It reduced the stains but did not eliminate them. Our pet suffered no ill effects.

It barely worked and was only 40-50% effective.

It may be worth a try but it didn't work for my dog.

As many of us know tear stains are a pain, my puppy never had any serious tear stain problems until the weather changed. I came home and found big brown tear stains under her eyes and got really upset because they just made her pretty white coat look bad. None of the other dogs in the house have tear stains, only my puppy does. Well, I thought I was prepared because I bought a solution from another pet store but that did not work at all! I remember hearing about Diamond Eye Tear Stain Remover and decided to give it a try. I was amazed at how well it got the stains out. I followed the directions and rubbed it on her tear stains 3 times a day and the stains are slowly getting better. Within two days I noticed a big change and within a week the tear stains are almost gone. I didn't think it could get the harden brown flakes under her eye or get that brownish color removed, but it's working and I am happy as can be. I just use a cotton swab and gently rub making sure her tear stain gets good and wet and just start rubbing, by the time I'm finished the cotton swab is dirty and her tear stain is a little lighter. I must say this is the best product and I'm so happy I bought it. I hope this helps other dog owners with their pups stubborn tear stains.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy's Mom, December 5, 2008

I purchased this item at a dog show a few months ago. I have been very happy with the results and was excited to find it on Amazon at such a great price. I did discover a little secret though. After you clean your pets eyes, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the eye stain. It will help keep the next tears from staining. After I cleaned and applied the petroleum jelly every day for about two weeks the stains were gone. Now I can just clean when I notice the stains reappearing. Great product.

I have used Diamond Eye for tear stains on my show Cavaliers for years. It is a wonderful product. I wouldn't use any other product on my dear cavaliers. It is easy to use and it does the trick, if you follow the directions!

1.0 out of 5 stars don't waste your money!, September 2, 2008

I was very disappointed with this product. After reading the product description, I had high hopes of FINALLY finding a product that would clean the yucky, brown stains on our poodle/bischon's face. I had tried a couple of different products from the pet store and they had not worked, so I thought I would try something online. This product was expensive & failed to clean the stains any better than warm, mild soapy water. Don't waste your money!!
