My family and I travel a lot in older model cars. So inverters are a necessity and I've bought plenty over the years. It's amazing what all can go wrong with a seemingly simple device. I haven't had this one long enough to give it a thorough examination under road-trip conditions, but so far, it looks good. First things first: it did not blow a fuse in itself or my car when I plugged it in. This is important. I've replaced more than one fuse in my car due to a faulty inverter. As far as function goes, it was able to simultaneously charge both my cellphone (120v) and iPod (5v) with no apparent problems. Admittedly, these are not heavy duty applications. I'm sure I never got near the 75w maximum for the inverter; a situation which could occur if you were charging, say, a laptop computer. Nevertheless, it did what I needed it to do.Another thing I couldn't test: under load, these inverters heat up and have an internal fan to keep them cool. Some inverters have fans which run very loudly. The Bestsk never got hot enough to turn the fan on, so I can't comment on fan noise. Otherwise, I have only one minor complaint; while I appreciate the power indicator light, I think it would be better if it were placed on the "top" next to the fan, where it would be easier to see while the product is in use.

Use this item in my car to power smaller 110v devices such as netbooks, bluetooth audio receivers, etc. No issues at all. My previous unit was larger and the fan ran continously. With this unit I've only heard it run when left inside a hot car by accident and even then it cooled quickly and went back to silent or near silent operation.
