I bought this card from here because the price was decent - I compared it with many other on line stores and with tax and shipping, this is decently priced.
I upgraded this card from a no-fan 7950GT xfx card. Now I can run COD and many others in close to max settings. Even my wife was stunned at how the games looked after installing this card. Here are a few things that made me purchase this card. 1. Eco friendly card = this card does not require you to insert a power plug into the card - it does not even have a plug for it. 2. I have dell E521 case which is not a conventional case - I cannot get any video card that takes up 2 slots. This was the best single slot card out at the market (as of June 2009) in terms of the specs and everything. It's on the smaller side for card at this level. 3. I used to have no-fan 7950gt card which had no noise but it got really hot inside of the case and sometimes would affect the cpu fan because of the temperature increase - now I do not have such problem anymore. 4. under full load it does make some fan noises but it's not bad at all. pretty low humming noise This card is SLI compatible but i don't have an sli compatible board. it's one of the best cards out there for budget, above mid-range performance video card. As of now, I run WoW, CoD5, Crysis at nearly max settings with above 40+ fps.

I purchased this card to upgrade my original NVIDIA GeForce 9600GS. For just a little over $100, this card is a major bargain. I can easily run World of Warcraft, Aion, Left 4 Dead, and Dragon Age: Origins maxed out. Dragon Age is the most tolling of the games listed but this card had no problems at all running it smoothly. Also runs applications like Photoshop great. You won't get more bang for your buck. Also very easy to install.

My 5-star rating means "got what I paid for", but I might not have gotten the "EcoIntelligence" feature if I knew that underclocks the card's speed.
Here's the BFG webpage for this product, where you can read its exact specs and requirements: [...] In case the page dies later, it says 550M-Hz core clock (possibly underclocked compared to a "non-green" 9800 GT). ALSO, let me quote the requirements for your computer's power supply: 350W PCI Express®-compliant system power supply with a combined 12V current rating of 22A or more I was shocked this card only needs 22A... but make sure your system supports it. Also the card gets all its power directly from the PCI-E slot, and you don't plug an extra PCI-E power connector anywhere else! It's a pretty performance-powerful card, so this was shocking - I guess it really does some efficiency magic with the smaller power it consumes(?). Never noticed loud fan noise from it - although some have suggested it does. Maybe my regular case fans are somewhat louder than average already, so I never noticed the card. I play Crysis on all-High settings with this card. Never measured the frame-rates, but almost everything in Crysis look/feels smooth in the HIGH settings except in a few heavy-processing parts of the game. Half-Life-2-Episode-2 plays perfectly throughout on the very highest settings, with AA maxed out and I think even with VSync on. Even though EcoIntelligence sounds like an oxymoron for people who spend extra money for a high-performance video expansion (e.g. if you're really super-green then don't play foolish high-performance video games etc), I think it lowers the price at least.. so it brings a great card's price down to the poor man, like myself. The performance is still darn good, although maybe more money would raise its clock speed (which you can't raise manually for this model..).

Arrived promptly. So far it is a great graphics card, especially as I didn`t have to upgrade power pack to use this card.

The first reason would be that BFG went out of business. You're card no longer is covered under warranty. I made the mistake of acquiring one of these. Upon loading Dead Rising 2, Speedfan (and other programs) report a sharp increase in temperature. After about 20 minutes it climbed all the way to 104C. The boiling point of water is 100C!!! I pulled the card (which was burning hot) and removed the heatsink. I wiped the thermal gunk off and put some Artic Silver on and slapped it back together. The temps were much more manageable but still considerably higher than expected. It topped out around 85C (20C cooler, but still 20C higher than expected and considered typical). I don't imagine my 2 month old card will last much longer if I continue to use it for games. But there is no other reason to buy such a card than games so it will likely be thrown in the trash. The fan is also quiet, even on 100%. Which, perhaps I have a fan issue because others said it could get loud. Either way, I'm on my own with figuring it out.

I love it, only problem, is I can't figure out why my games are lagging so much, I probably need more RAM.

Yes ... nice to get a good video card that did not require a 1000w PSU.

Decided to put this card in a low power pc I'm putting together. Seemed fine at first and I've been building/tuning the pc over time so I unfortunately threw the box away thinking it was ok (so I can't return it to amazon :-[ ).
It wasn't until about a week later I installed some games (left 4 dead, WoW) and wouldn't you know it, terrible tearing and artifacts all over the screen. I've done a 2 way swap with another video card just to double check it actually was the card causing the problem and it is. Called their customer service several times and waited for over 25 minutes just for no one to pick up. Just sent them an email to set up an RMA. I'll let you know how things unfold... I'm finished with the RMA process now which wasn't too bad so long as you do everything via email. Still pretty annoying that I had to pay extra money for something that should have worked in the first place. Now that I have a fully functional card I'm quite happy with it. It takes very little juice and is basically silent while having decent power under the hood. If possible I'd change my rating to 3 stars. -1 star for poor quality control and -1 for having customer support that is basically unreachable via phone. However, that's more of an overall rating for the company. I'd say the card is 5/5 stars. It's powerful, efficient, and quiet so it lives up to its reputation.

is a good video card, I expected a little more, but meets expectations, most of all because I can play call of duty 5 to full, and because it is so expensive
