I bought my BFG 9800GT card 2 yrs ago. I was so happy that I had a card I could easily run Fallout, Oblivion, Crysis and more. It performed excellent! Until...it decided to start crashing on me. Over the last 2 years, very rarely, my videos, games and some programs would crash suddenly and I got the gut-wrenching "Display driver (enter name) has stopped working and has been restored" bubble/pop-up. Fine, it crashed and restored fast but it crashed my program, vid or game as well. Over the 2 yrs, it became more frequent until it was every time I tried to run a program. I tried every online fix-it I could find and it only got worse. I then removed the card to find the fan gunked up with lint. I'm not sure why this fan was attracting all the gunk when the fan for the power supply and external fan were clean.

Card: It is a BIG card for not being 2 cards in one. It's long and sort of bulky. Also, trying to remove the card is the worst. The clip securing the end is hidden beneath the bulky card and you really have to have the computer stripped down to get to the underside of the card.

So, I bought my low-end ATI HIS HD 5550 card that reviews/comparrisons of my card and the 9800GT say the 9800GT is better? My computer has run fine with no problems. Actually, it runs better with my fanless ATI card.

As stated, when the 9800 is running, it runs awesome but it is not worth the lint magnet that it is that causes the crashes and frustrations. 2-3 stars tops.
