This complete package includes everything you need: an excellent bass; a portable amp that delivers big sound; an instructional DVD; a bag to protect your bass when you are not playing; a strap to help you hold your instrument; a 10' cable to connect your bass to the and amp. The dual cutaway shaped body allows access to the highest frets, and the contoured body makes it comfortable to play for hours. This scaled down, left handed, 3/4 size bass is about 3" shorter and 2" narrower than a full size bass. It is excellent for a person who is between 4'2" and 4'10", or for a larger person who just wants a smaller instrument (for perhaps when one travels). Bass guitar is made of the same high quality woods our full size models use. The alder wood body creates an authentic vintage sound. Bolt-on maple neck adds stability and is built with a truss rod. (A truss rod is an adjustable neck reinforcement designed to resist the forward bending force of the high tension of steel strings, and is found in the finest of electric guitars.) Ultra fast rosewood fretboard with 21 jumbo frets. Split P-Bass type passive pickup offers a full sound. Overall length of is bass is 42". Width at its widest point is 12 1/2". Width of the neck at the nut is 1 1/2", and at the 21st fret it is 2 7/16". Scale length is 30". String spacing at the bridge is 2". (Note DVD shows a right handed player.) Bought this for my son for Christmas. Looks great sounds nice and is great for a beginner. Every thing was packed well and no damage. The cary case did have some white ?mold? on it but it did wipe off with a wet cloth and is fine.

This bass was purchased for my six year old son. It's a bit heavy for him at the moment, but it is good to have growing room. Initially, I was concerned that we were purchasing a 3/4 neck on a full size body. Thankfully, that is not the case. This is a true 3/4 bass guitar.

It played well out of the box. Tuned up easily. Everything needed was in the kit. We were playing within moments. The bass guitar is worth the $100 alone.
