The delivery was fast and the price at $US299 (especially for Australia given our clothing prices) was excellent but these are not the important thing's, are they? It's no use getting a bargain if it just good or passable. This is not just good or passable - the quality, both in stitching and the soft and reasonably thick leather, is superb. As usual, think carefully about your size (I did; perfect fit) and what you will wear under it (maybe over-size; I was right on the cusp of one size so it was no-brainer to go one size up). The only criticism is that the cuff straps either need two more holes (at their spacing points) or begin a bit further down. And another point - the trench-coat style requires doing up the belt; getting into a car with the belt undone allows the dangling belt ends to get caught in the door and trail along the road (the soft-black "ceramic" type buckle doesn't like road surfaces - sigh!). So pick up your "petticoats" (belt) or do it up - otherwise you will spoil an absolutely perfect experience (sigh) so that it becomes "merely" perfect.

I returned the BGSD Men's New Zealand Lambskin Leather Long Coat in exchange for this one due to fit problems with the other one.

This is a nice coat with good quality leather, and good value for the price. I've seen higher quality leather, but I would expect a coat with noticeably higher quality leather than this one to run over a thousand dollars.

The belt is long enough to tie in front (which is how you should wear it, not buckled), and if you're worried about it falling off or out a car door or whatever (as another reviewer mentioned), you should just buckle the belt through the loops in the back until you plan to use it (or leave it at home -- yes, it comes out easily).

It's reasonably warm, but not for arctic conditions. I'd say it's good to about 10-15F over a suit, maybe single digits for a short time (e.g., if you're pretty sure you're going to catch a cab out front).

The pockets are deep enough and in the right place that you can stick your hands in them for warmth.

I don't know how well the leather will hold up over time, so it's hard to give an unequivocal five stars.

All in all, it's formal enough to wear over a suit, but casual enough to wear over your favorite all-black get-up for that pseudo Matrix/Neo effect.

This trench coat is really great.

Its has high quality leather and its stitching is very well done.

As the other reviewer pointed out, choose the size of the coat very carefully.

The only complain I have is that the belt was way to big, probably was mixed up from a larger size coat, and I had to take it to get shortened. But it was no hassle at all, so I recommend this coat to anybody looking for this style.

this is a nice leather trench coat ... but i faced a problem with the sizes ... but a far as manufacturing goes.. it is a sweet, nice stitched jacket ..
