Shearling Vest, November 23, 2008
I first saw another well known outdoor store selling this vest "on sale," and was ready to bite the bait. The verdict? There was only one very small size left! I'm not a small, not by any stretch. So I proceeded with an Internet search and found this same vest here on Amazon. What do I like about it? First, I like it's plain yet classic styling. Other shearling vests which I compared it to were 'too flashy' with buttons, snaps, and straps, or were just too 'cowboy' for my taste. Second, I like that it is real shearling, and not some 'faux' material being peddled as the real thing. Third, I like wearing it! It looks good, feels great, and is very warm over a fleece shirt. The two front pockets are large enough to plunge cold hands into and they are actually functional pockets in that regard. The icing on the cake is that my wife likes it on me as well! Finally, after first discovering this vest on sale but not my size, this Amazon listed vendor had a better price than where I began! A great quality vest that looks handsome, and is priced right. If you are considering a shearling vest for fall and spring wear, this one should get some strong consideration.
