The New Zealand Lambskin Leather Walking coat I ordered as a Christmas gift arrived beautifully. It was my mistake that I didn't take the coat out of the box and check for flaws before giving it as a Xmas gift. I left it in the box so it wouldn't be wrinkled or disturbed. The coat looked like the picture on line, fit perfectly, the leather is as described (soft), BUT the lining was unevenly sewn in the coat. In my opinion, this does not represent a quality product.

I was very disappointed when my daughter asked "is this is the way the lining is suppose to hang"?

I doubt I would purchase another BGSD product. $189 coat should have had better quality control in it's product.

I had received a sizable gift card to Amazon for Christmas, which led me to consider shopping there for the leather coat I had wanted. I found this jacket to be well made, comfortable, and well-priced. No complaints so far. In fact, I have received compliments on it. It's a good length, very versatile, and a nice basic coat in which I can dress up or down. I suppose if I were to change anything, I would have wanted more size options (comes in S, M, L) for a trimmer fit and inside pockets. I had money left over from my gift certificate. This is a very good value for the product.

A beautiful coat. Purchased as Christmas gift for my daughter. Leather is soft and supple and it's well-made. Smooth seams, etc. Wish it was still available in my size!

I ordered this coat on Monday and it arrived Wednesday. It was everything I expected. The lambskin leather is soft and rich looking and the black color is true (no bronzy overtones). I am a solid size 14 and the large fits perfectly. This was my big concern ordering on-line. The sleeve length is just a tad long for me but only by 1/2" or so. The lining has no flaws. It arrived well boxed and protected with paper and plastic. At $229 with no tax or shipping, this is more than worth the price. I would have expected to pay$300+ for this item in a store (which I did 6 years ago when I bought my old Preston & York 36" coat which I wore out-hence the need to find a new one). A solid 2 thumbs up from me- and I'm fussy about my leather.

I have be looking for a black leather coat in the department stores for several months and could only find jackets. I was leery about ordering a leather coat online because I wanted a soft, buttery feel to the leather. I decided to try - ordered this coat on a Wednesday and received it Friday - way in advance of the expected delivery. I was very happy when I opened the package. It fits well - looks terrific - and feels like soft buttery leather. Its exactly what I was looking for. I look forward to wearing this coat for many years.

The coat is as advertised. The Lambskin is excellent quality, buttery soft and a very nice shade of dark brown. The the coat and the lining are well made without any loose threads, sloppy stitching etc.. The on seam pockets are roomy and lie flat so that there is no added bulk at your hips. I'm 5'5, size Lg and the fit is spot on. It drapes well without looking boxy. The length is below my ample fanny as depicted in their photos. The sleeve length is perfect for normal length arms. I have short arms and the sleeves rest on my knuckles at the top of my fingers. The buttons are easy to work for my arthritic hands. All in all an excellent coat and very comfortable.

I bought this coat because I liked the way it looked and the reviews were good. It fits beautifully, looks very nice, and is very supple. I could not be happier!

This was a present for my wife. She likes it very much nad wears it frequently.

I STARTED TO ORDER A COAT AND HAD TO STOP MIDWAY TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT. WHEN I WENT BACK IN UNDER MY SHOPPING CART IT WAS GONE. I SHOPPED AND FOUND ANOTHER COAT I LIKED BETTER. I RECEIVED MY FIRST COAT AND THEN TWO DAYS LATER RECEIVED MY 2ND COAT. I CALLED MY MASTER CARD TO SEE IF I WAS CHARGED FOR 2, THEY SAID NO ONLY ONE RIGHT NOW. I KNEW I WOULD BE GETTING MY CREDIT CARD BILLS IN THE MAIL ANY DAY, SO WAITED TO SEE IF I WAS CHARGED FOR 2. I RECEIVED MY DISCOVER BILL FIRST, IT HAD 1 OF THE COATS ON IT. I HAD NOT USED MY DISCOVER NOR EVEN GAVE THEM MY DISCOVER. I GOT MY MASTER CARD AND HAD 1 COAT ON IT. WHEN I CALLED AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES, I FINALLY FOUND OUT THAT THE FIRST COAT THAT I HAD NOT WENT ALL THE WAY THRU ORDERING HAD BEEN ORDERED USING AN EMAIL ADDRESS OF MINE THAT HADNT BEEN GOOD FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS. I MUST OF ORDERED SOMETHING OVER 2 YEARS AGO AND USED MY DISCOVER. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE USE OF MY DISCOVER OR ORDER THAT FIRST COAT. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS GETTING THE FIRST COAT SENT BACK AND CREDITED TO MY DISCOVER THAT NEVER SHOULD OF BEEN USED IN THE FIRST PLACE. AMAZON AND THE SHIPPER ARGUE ON WHO IS RESPONSIBLE AND SEND YOU BACK AND FORTH LIKE A PING PONG. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANOTHER THING FROM AMAZON AGAIN!
