5.0 out of 5 stars BIA Cordon Bleu, December 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: BIA Cordon Bleu 7-1/2-Inch Round White Porcelain Salad Plates, Set of 4 (Kitchen)
These sturdy favorites hold up under the harshest conditions a family can offer. Heat them, chill them, zap 'em! You'll never tire of these quality plates that go with everything. Forever sylish in classic white. Don't forget the chowder bowls. (:-) They are lovely filled with fruit, cereal, chili or ice cream.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic White Salad/Dessert Plates, March 8, 2001

This review is from: BIA Cordon Bleu 7-1/2-Inch Round White Porcelain Salad Plates, Set of 4 (Kitchen)
Many people have a hard time choosing casual dinnerware and formal china patterns for themselves. I always recommend an inexpensive white porcelain open-stock pattern to them as a first choice because these pieces can be used as extras for entertaining later on. BIA is a good line, and it is open-stock. Many people like white porcelain dinnerware because the food and garnishes are then the decoration on the plates.

So if you are ordering BIA dinnerware, you would want to buy a set of dinner plates, a set of cups and saucers, and these salad plates, all of which come boxed, with service for four. (You might also like to order 12-Inch platters for entrees or entree salads.) If you add a set of soup/cereal bowls, then you have a twenty-piece service for four.

Since BIA white porcelain is open-stock, there are many other items of dinnerware, bakeware, and serving pieces that you can keep adding to your collection.

You may want to mix-and-match the BIA white porcelain dinnerware with Willow Blue open-stock dinnerware for a charming Asian-eclectic effect.
