They have a classic look and are perfect for mini-souffles. They can also be used to serve nuts and candies or for sauces and dressings. I love them!

I haven't actually cooked with it yet, but I can say that it is very heavy and has very thick sides. The weight makes it difficult to store (I live in a small apartment, so everything is stacked in my cupboards!). It does make for a chic fruit bowl though!

The Orient has a history of exquisite "china"...lol! Be that as it may, this is a well made piece of work. I expect to have many years of use from this... one of those lifetime purchases. I'm still psyching myself up to take the plunge and create a cheese souffle... which this is just the perfect size for! Oh yes, you can use this for MORE THAN "just" making souffles! Plain and simple: IMHO, it's worth buying. Gee, they should pay me for pushing their product... ROFLMAO!!!
