I wanted 20 large white plates with a rim for an upcoming party that will be served Buffet style. I bought 4 of these plates from Warehouse Deals to check them out before ordering all 20. Two of the plates arrived broken and Amazon very efficiently refunded my money. The plates are lovely, very white, a great size and a nice wide rim, however they are so heavy that they are not at all suitable for a buffet. I tried to weigh the plate on a 16 oz. food scale but it was way too heavy. These plates are heavier than Fiestaware plates and it feels as if 1 of these plates weighs the same as 2 of my every day Spode dishes.
Because these plates are so thick and because they have a rim on the bottom a stack of them would be higher than most other plates. I also discovered prices on the internet as low as Two eighty-seven per plate. The plates are FRENCH in name only, they are made in CHINA.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my plates. Thy are a nice size and not too heavy. I can use them with any tablecloths/placemats.

Dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, freezer-safe. What more could you ask for? Large, WHITE white (makes your food look fantastic) and hold a healthy portion. Bought dinner plates, soup bowls and stacking bowls to match. Looking to buy more. I couldn't be more satisfied. Well packed for shipping and delivery was fast. One of my more pleasant purchases. Highly reccommend.

I was looking for BIA Bistro rimmed soup/pasta bowls and found them on Amazon and at a price I was happier with than at the local kitchen shop. The bowls came quickly and in great shape. I love the new rimmed bowls and have added them to my Bistro collection.

The French cooking school Cordon Bleu may have gone commercial, but their porcelain is excellent.
Regarding the reviews that mention these products are not made in France but in China, you're correct. Porcelain was invented by the Chinese 2,000 years ago. That's why porcelain items are sometimes referred to as "China." Every country produces both good- and poor-quality items. These are definitely the former. They are however, as one reviewer wrote, heavy.

Wrong dimensions. These bowls are only 9.5 inches wide and the height is 2" but the inside of the bowl is less than an inch.
I ordered these rather than buying a less expensive set from a local store because I thought they'd be larger.
Glaze is OK. Not exceptional.

i couldn,'t be any happier than I am with these plates. I will order more later. The white goes with any place mats or tablecloth. The size of the plate is sufficient and I am extremely glad i bought them.

I was very pleased with my bread plates. They go perfectly with the soup/salad bowls and dinner plates I ordered previously.They will also interchange very well with my other more colorful dishes. The price was very reasonable.

These bowls are a great value. They are well made with no visible flaws in manufacture. The white color and basic design allows for easy mix and match with other tableware. Being hesitamt about quality, I ordered one set. However, I will be ordering and additional set as these are worth every penny.

I was specifically looking for these bowls and was very pleased to find them on Amazon rather than to have to search the stores for them!
I had 6 bowls already and needed 4 more for a dinner party I was hosting.
However, when the package arrived, the bowls were smaller than the size mentioned in the product description. They are not 10"x10"x2"
but are 3/4" smaller in circumference and more shallow as well. Needless to say, they did not match the ones that I had, and they had to be returned.
