A friend broke her butter bell and was going to order another one. We both choose this one and I bought and extra for my mom. All three of us love it. It washes up nicely in the dishwasher when it gets messy. It has a better top than the one she had before which was hard to grip. This one is great!

After having pottery ones that are porous and do not work, this little gem keeps the butter fresh.

Received this butter bell a few weeks ago....in fact, I just refilled it tonight. I had never heard of a butter bell before.....found out about it on a message board, and couldn't find one local. I hate "cold unspreadable butter," and always kept mine out. But this summer, I ended up taking a bite of rancid butter because it was really hot/humid out and it was down to the end of the tub. Since I didn't smell it before spreading, I didn't know it was bad before tasting....yuk! Anyway, this one is cute. The shipping was almost as much as the bell, so that was a little disappointing, and this was the "cheapest" one. I wish it held a little more butter. It just barely holds a stick...I usually have some left over I have to put in the fridge, but all in all, I like it!

I stumbled accross this neat little item on Amazon and it is just what I've been looking for. Keeps soft butter fresh and at hand. Good size and comfortable to use. I love my butter keeper!

Without a doubt, all of my dinner guests ask where I purchased this butter bell. There are a lot out there but they all tend to be very cylindrical and not really pretty. This one is so cute and of course, it keeps my butter soft and fresh for weeks. Don't forget to change the water. Holds a full stick of butter.

The butter keeper is one of the best "kitchen gadgets" I have. It's a 'must have' for people who love the taste of real butter. I don't know how I ever got along without it. I no longer have to struggle with cold, hard butter. It glides onto bread, rolls, veggies, etc., and it's attractive to keep on the counter. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who eats butter.

This is a great item if you like having soft butter at your finger tips. For me the lid is easy to grip and the bell is easy to fill and holds a stick of butter. I use organic butter and have no problems with mold or icky flavors getting into my butter. I will admit I sometimes forget to change the water in my bell (been up to three weeks) but I've yet to have a problem. My father thought it was so cool that I got him one for his birthday!

It looks great and does it's job admirable. Thick and sturdy, I love this thing. Grilled cheese sandwiches are so much easier to make when you have soft butter, and you can use real butter, not margarine. Good stuff.

Keeps my butter (the real stuff, not margarine) soft and able to spread on soft bread. Love it!

Thanks to a review on this butter keeper I checked and found the shipping charges to be more than double the normal standard shipping costs. I believe this is because it ships from Canada and the reviewer mentioned that the shipping was almost as much as the item. So, a very big "thank you" to that reviewer! I ended up buying one that ships from the U.S. and therefore has standard shipping charge. Otherwise, it looks like a very nice butter keeper. It is dishwasher safe, well-made and easy to handle and use.
