I own many different types of ramekins and I use these more than any of the others. They're very sturdy and clean up nicely. The ceramic is pretty heavy so things cook evenly. I've dropped them many times, still no chips or cracks. I mostly use these for souffle and creme broulee. A great value at this price. (I've paid 7 bucks a piece for other remekins.)

Think you don't need ramekins? You'll be surprised. I admit, I make no creme brulee, and in fact rarely make any desserts of ramekin-worthiness, but I use these bad boys just about EVERY DAY. And these are a GREAT price. Very durable, dishwasher safe. I am quite hard on them and they havn't cracked or anything. Great for food preparation, holding chopped garlic, ginger, etc. A must for the budding cooking enthusiast.

Neutral design, goes with just about everything, from Fiestaware to Royal Doulton. Individual servings of salsa or cream? A snap. At this price get a couple of sets. Makes a great little housewarming gift too!

These come in very handy! I use mine for french onion soup, ingredient bowls, and at time serving bowls for taco fixings for entertaining. They are of a heavy weight, and at an unbelievable price for a set of 4.

These are elegant and very good quality. However, when I recieved my shipment had problems with breakage

The product itself is really nice. Good quality, but shipping is a real problem. The first time I ordered, the entire set was in pieces (many pieces) - when the replacement set came one of those was broken.

Unless Amazon can figure out how to get these shipped with breakage, I would look elsewhere.

You'll find yourself using these ramekins on a daily basis -- thats how convenient they are. That is especially due to the fact that they are microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. Use them to bake or just to quicky warm up a little food in the microwave. I used a coupon from UnderTag.com, so it was almost free for me.

These ramekins are fantastic in terms of both presentation and function. They are attractive enough to use as serving pieces. You can also make a souffle, freeze it and, later, remove from the freezer and place it directly in the oven - extremely helpful.

However, even if you are not planning to make a bunch of frozen souffles, you should have a series of ramekins to construct your "mise en place" tray. Otherwise known as "everything in place", you find that laying out your ingredients and planning in advance ensures that you avoid cooking disasters (forgot to add an ingredient) or mistimings (somethings burns while you hunt for your nutmeg and grater).

The ... price is about 1/2 of the typical store price for these items.

the product is great, but i also had problems with shipping. the first set arrived with one broken ramekin. the replacement set also had one broken dish.
