Most people think of the Bible as being very anti-magick, with verses that declare witchcraft to be a capital offense and a one-way ticket to hell. It is not widely understood that the same ancient mystery schools that spawned various forms of magick also influenced a great deal of what is considered today to be mainstream religion. The late William Alexander Oribello was a marvelous New Age scholar and teacher, and in "Bible Spells" one is again reminded of the depth of his wisdom. Oribello explains at the outset that when God created the universe, he did it with the power of words. Thus the familiar doctrine of the Logos was born. It is Oribello's contention that each and every verse of the Bible is still charged with the energy God gave to language at the very beginning of time, and that proper use of certain verses can work wonders for the individual in terms of love, money and good luck.

Along with the fascinating historical background behind the various spells and prayers Oribello provides, he also gets down to the nitty gritty of just what the spell-making entails. Oribello's coaching is very comprehensive, as he instructs the reader in employing candles, precious stones, crystals and incense to aid in the Bible spells process. He also advises the novice to tell no one of his work, as the spells will lose their power if spoken of to others. It is a matter that is between the individual and God, and thus a sacred understanding with the Deity.

The spells address everyday concerns, like finding a new lover, getting along with your boss, stopping the bleeding of a wound. Oribello cautions, however, that the verses must never be used to gain power over another person or to do any harm of any kind. The tried and true "double whammy" effect is still very much in play here. Also, the healing spells must never take the place of reliable medical attention. One must remain within the realm of the practical and real when practicing Biblical magick.

Most of the spells are simple enough and require only that you light a candle or burn some incense and recite the recommended Bible verse provided. If after three weeks your need has not been answered, you may be asking for something the universe feels is inappropriate or would have interfered with the planned destiny of your life. There are no guarantees offered here, just the possibility that you will receive what you ask for by awakening the powers within you and establishing a personal connection to the universal energy of the Logos.

Oribello also includes a smorgasbord of Biblical spells he gleaned through interviews with a variety of secret magick practitioners throughout the United States. Even if the spells seem a little farfetched at times, they are an interesting sampling of the folk magick and medicine still being practiced in this country today. The old ways never completely die out; they just become harder to pin down.

Whether or not you are a believer in occult or Biblical magick, you will inevitably be entertained and intrigued by the mysteries uncovered in William Alexander Oribello's "Bible Spells." At the very least, the idea of somehow influencing our own destiny--in a world that often seems to offer little real freedom of choice--cannot help but appeal to those willing to think outside the box and try something a little different. William Oribello has really scored a major hit with this incredible book. A lot of people mistakingly view all magic with suspicion. However, this book proves that hidden within the verses of the Bible are incredible POWER words that evoke the creative energies of the universe. Since we are all part of creation, we are able to use these special verses to heal, find love and romance, be successful with money and business, get rid of bad luck, replace it with good luck and hundreds of other fantastic spells using candles, crystals and gemstones and incense. This form of Bible magic has been used for centuries, but this is probably the first time that this usually oral tradition has been recorded in a book. Try it out for yourself and see the incredible power contained within the verses of the Holy Scripture.

It works, its powerful, and its the Bible. What else can I say. Dont bash this product until you understand it. The born again Christians use the same verses and its OK but because its written by a New Age Healer it comes under criticism. No difference - its Gods word.

I have consistently done a spell every night and I have received answers. I have only done the ones involving candles. I have used small votive candles. But I've seen results.

I won't go into it much more than that and say to believe and pray the Bible verse, light your candle...and see it happen.

This book seems very interesting. The spells are very simple. I will be using the future.

This is a very interesting book.
It gives passages in the bible that can be used as "magic" spells.
While some of these verses and passages are indeed the real deal.
Some of these are just rediculous.

but with any healing or "Christian" magic...
Only a righteous man has any ability worth noting.
