The first owner of my house had installed a pretty decent surround sound system in the living room, having chosen some Polk 6.5" in-wall speakers for the rear.

When one of them recently gave up the ghost after 13 years, I immediately checked to see whether B.I.C. America made a set of 6.5s as replacements, since they have a reputation for sound equivalent to speakers that cost three, four, five, or six times more.

I've personally confirmed this to be true with two pairs of the B.I.C. America DV62si and a matching sub, so I wasted no time in ordering these to replace the Polks. Easy installation, and the sound is much better than the Polks they replaced, which, sure enough, cost 3 times as much as the B.I.C.s.

In short, I can't recommend the B.I.C. line of speakers highly enough, but don't take my word for it, the accolades are all over the interwebs.

These BIC M-60 in-wall speakers sound great, nice clarity and imaging. I do recommend building Back boxes from 3/4" MDF board (36" x 14" x 3.5") and filling them with fiberglass insulation, or acoustic damping material to extend the Bass range downward. This of course is easier to do in new construction. I highly recommend these speakers. Fantastic value for a very reasonable price.
