5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK!, January 8, 2000
By
Cheeann (Planet earth) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
THIS BOOK WAS THE BOMB! IT WAS ABOUT JESSICA AND ELIZABETH WAKEFIELD. THEY WISHED THEY COULD BE BIG FOR CHRISTMAS SO THAT THEY COULD GO TO A HIGH-SCHOOL PARTY (THE ONE THEIR PARENTS WOULDN'T LET THEM GO TO). SO...THEY GOT THEIR WISH! FOR ONE DAY, THEY HAD TO MAKE IT ON THEIR OWN BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS DIDN'T RECOGNIZE THEM. THEY THOUGHT THEIR DAUGHTERS RAN AWAY. SO THEY TOLD THEIR OLDER BRO STEVEN AND HE PROMISED NOT TO TELL. ANYWAY, THEY MADE A WISH THAT NIGHT SAYING PLEASE LET US RETURN TO NORMAL. AND THEY DID!

THIS BOOK HAD A LOT OF ADVENTURES IN IT, INCLUDING WHERE THEY GOT A PART-TIME JOB AS TRUCKDRIVERS AND GOT TO SAMPLE FREE DONUTS (IT WAS A VERY SNEAKY, YET CLEVER WAY TO EAT BREAKFAST!). I GUARANTEE U WILL LIKE THIS BOOK AND I WOULD RECOMMEND READING IT ON CHRISTMAS EVE. YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHAT U WISH FOR, U JUST MIGHT GET IT. THAT'S THE MORAL TO THIS STORY.

READ THE BOOK!

5.0 out of 5 stars "BIG For Christmas", November 3, 2002
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
This book was one of the best books out of the sweet Valley twins series. With its series of laughter, fun and emotion it is the perfect book for you hopefully.
It is about these two identical twin sisters Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield. One of Jessica's friends Janet Howell is throwing a joint big christmas bash along with her high school aged brother Joe. The twins older brother Steven is invited to go along with the twins. The twins are very excited about going but Steven isn't. He would give anything for them not to be there so he trys to bargain with them.
Eventually the twins parents Alice and Ned Wakefield find out there are going to be high school boys at the party and are a little worried. With a little help from Steven telling his parents how 'wild' the party is going to be the twins aren't allowed to go. They get very disapointed. That night they go to the carnival and make a wish together. They both with 'I wish i were grown up.'
However, much to their surprise their wish comes true! In the morning they wake up to find they've grown into young women overnight. They quickly escape the house so it doesn't cost major embarrasment and their parents think they've ran away. Steven feels bad and trys to help them.
I won't say anymore, i'll have to let you read it for youself.
I Hope you get as much pleasure out of it as i did.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Sweet Valley Twins Story Book, February 8, 2000
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
This is the story of the millenium! Of course there are many stories of the millenium But it's like totally cool cause they show what problems the twins might face when they grow up. But the part I like most is that Steven admitted to himself that the twins DO NOT embarress him in front of his friends and that they are great SISTERS, not just KIDS. It also shows that Elizabeth is not totally GOODY-TWO-SHOES, which is the image everyone gets. The book has funny, crazy, frightening, touching and most of all.....exciting parts. Everyone should read it, even people who are above twelve.

This book is a very interesting book for the normal teenager. It is about Jessica and Elizabeth Wakfield. All they want to do is to go to a party with some of the Unicorns an d High School Students. But there brother doesn't want them to go and tell their parents it will be to wild for them. When they don't get to go they make a wish at a local winter carnival to be big and independent. Christmas morning they get their wish. Many weird and unusual things happen while they are grown up

5.0 out of 5 stars All grown up!, August 16, 2000
A Kid's Review
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
This book was VERY good. I loved it! It starts off as the twins are invited to this great, big Christmas bash of the year. Of course, the best part was that there was going to be high school guys there! But when they're parents say they're too young for a high school/middle school party, they're hopes and excitments vanish. But that night before they go to bed, they wish they were all grown up so that they could make they're own decisions and not be bossed around by grown ups all the time! When the following morning arrives, they realize they're wishes came true and thats when the adventure and excitment begins! Read this book! You'll love it! I guarantee! :) ~Samantha~

5.0 out of 5 stars Way Great! Totally Crazy!, April 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
I was almost as mad at Steven as the twins were when he talked their parents into not letting them go to J&J's party. That old man was really weird, but the whole book is odd. I loved the way Jeessica talked that man into letting them drive the donut truck, and get free samples, but then they leave it at a stop light to run. I think they learned a lesson, and taught Steven one. It's a really great book, that shows you how much you really don't want to grow up quite yet. I'd recommend this to anyone that's ever read a Sweet Valley book. It's wonderful!

GREAT!!!! Since the twins feel left out they decide they must act .Not going to Janet's and Joe's party is too much .Every one is treating them like babies so they make a wish. Next morning a weird thing happens... The book is hard to stop reading becuse it is so exiting but not scary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good!, October 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: BIG FOR CHRISTMAS (Sweet Valley Twins) (Paperback)
BIG for Christmas was good, but not the good I had excpected. I think that the first part of the book was too long. Liz and Jess only got 24 hours as adults! But it was still very enjoyable. That's what I love Francine Pascal about. Her books on the back are never what they seem...They're better!
