BioFreeze Spray, after using the gel, was something of a disappointment.
While I got almost instant results from the gel, the spray was quite a bit milder. It didn't seem to have the "zing" I associated with the gel.
Still, i did get some relief.

This stuff really works and doesn't leave the disgusting Ben Gay smell after using it. The pleasant menthol smell goes away within 10 to 15 minutes but the relief continues. Highly recommended!

I have the biofreeze sample packs for portability, but at home I like to use this spray, it allows me full coverage...especially in places on my back, for instance, which I can't always reach so easily. This product works wonderfully. I will definitely purchase it again.

I cannot believe that Biofreeze Spray works as well as it does. If you have a tension headache (the kind I often get in the back of my head/neck), a few sprays and you are feeling better within a MINUTE! Not only that -- it works for pulled muscles, tense muscles, tight muscles, from whatever cause!

I have some serious orthopedic problems in my neck and shoulder that I have been dealing with for YEARS. Even more serious--these issues have been going on so long that I was diagnosed with 'Intractable Pain.' I am literally in pain all day, every day. It's ROUGH to deal with and I take some very heavy duty meds as a result--things much stronger than Vicodin.

I would never, ever in a zillion years expect this simple Biofreeze spray to do a darn thing, but IT REALLY DOES! When I've taken as many pain meds as I can, but I am still suffering, a few sprays and I am able to handle it much better. The cooling soothing feeling that turns into a warm, subtle heat feels almost as if you've just had a gentle massage that's relaxed all the muscles. And, it lasts. I'd say about an hour for me.

Things really feel less stiff, less tight, less sore. Headaches sometimes vanish in an instant. I keep a bottle near me at all times, I cannot say enough about how well it works!!

For others with less serious issues, I know for a fact it works BETTER and it lasts LONGER... A friend of mine who uses the product has pain off and on in the low back, the result of a military service injury. He, too, is helped by the product. Even more than I am! He avoids ibuprofen and Excedrin more because of this product. It's truly a miracle spray!

There are only two issues I've got with this product. One, it's just too darn expensive for a 4 oz spray. You can find a 16 oz spray online as well, but that's too cumbersome for someone with the kind of problems I've got. Too heavy to easily spray at all angles easily. I'd recommend for Biofreeze to offer an 8 oz size, for perhaps just a dollar or two more than the 4 oz. Because us loyal customers deserve a bigger bottle!

The other issue I have? The spray is supposed to be multi-directional... working at any angle. However, sometimes you get a bad bottle. The company is kind of nasty about helping!!! I was shocked! The last one received was purchased as a gift and because I am not 100% sure where it was purchased, they are giving me issues with sending a replacement bottle. WHY? I have the product in my hand, the 100% real item, and can prove it if they need me to send it to them. Their email in part: "We received a voicemail this morning regarding a 4 oz sprayer that you have that is not working. I need to know where you purchased the product and the expiration date. If purchased from an authorized source, we will send a call tag to pick up the spray that is not working."

I'm sorry, but standing behind a product's functionality is a BIG deal to me. Come on people, do the right thing! I'd give it FIVE stars if it wasn't for this sprayer/Customer Service issue and the slightly inflated price!

All in all, I love the product, even if the company is a little BLAH. You'll love it too. Just be sure to hold on to your receipt in case you get a bad sprayer. Soooo... check out Biofreeze now -- really and truly, relief awaits you!!! Mmmm!

NOTE: DO NOT waste your time/money on the Biofreeze gel or rub. It just doesn't compare AT ALL to this spray. Do yourself a favor, trust me! Get the spray, all the way!

First off, Biofreeze works very nicely. I play hockey three times a week and get sore muscles and joints now that I am older. I was looking for something other than bengay or any of the other creams. Biofreeze was able to help with these pains and even cure a pulled groin. I bought both the spray and the roll-on gel. Here is what I think about each - remember - the stuff itself works I am just talking about the different dispensers now.

Roll-on Gel:
Does heat up but the spray seems to get hotter. The gel bottle needs to be shaken a few times to get the stuff on the roller ball to dispense. The smell isn't as potent.

Spray:
Heats up more. Goes on easy but smells a lot stronger and smell last a lot longer. The spray goes on nicely and evenly.

Overall I prefer the spray but Biofreeze is a winner! So, no matter how you choose you will be in great shape with this product.

I've been using Biofreeze for a couple of years now and I haven't found any other product even close to the results I get from Biofreeze. I am almost 62 so needless to say aches and pains are very common. And I have arthritis in my neck - I just spray some Biofreeze to wherever I am hurting and first I get the cool sensation (along with the scent) after a few minutes I feel soothing warmth and the scent is gone. It is long lasting and you can even spray it upside down. It also comes in a gel and roll-on, I prefer the spray because it is easier to apply that way.

I have used the spray on my lower back and hip joints whenever I get the occasional ache from overdoing or sleeping wrongly. The spray bottle is a convenient size and easy to maneuver to use on my lower back. I know that in a short period of time after use that the pain will be diminished or gone all together, and I've been well pleased in this regard.

I also like the fact that I don't have to rub the contents into my skin, thus keeping my hands clean. This way I don't have to wash my hands throughly or try to remember not to touch my face with the treatment still on my hands. I suspect that the gel version of this product may be more economical if one had to use it everyday. But for me the spray is ideal. I have a bottle at home and I keep one at work in case I need a spritz during the day.

This stuff is a miracle. My chiropractor sprayed it on me and I really didn't think it could work. It did. It works almost immediately. I am a nurse and I took it to work and sprayed it on some of the other nurses' pains and they all wanted me to get them a bottle. One person had a major sinus headache so bad that she was throwing up all day. I figured it couldn't hurt, so we sprayed it on her forehead (with her eyes covered) and she was able to finish her work. I had an extra bottle and she paid me for it and used it again that night with the same results. This stuff sells itself. By the way, I don't sell it so I am not biased. I wish I had known about this stuff a long time ago.

This product was wonderful, and did eveything that it was advertised to do (relieve pain, easy to apply, non-greasy, disappearing scent). However, the vendor was much cheaper than the rest, and I found that the shipping was substantially higher than other products, which was an unpleasant surprise. I would buy the product again, from another vendor.

I've been using Biofreeze Spray On product for about a month. It works wonderfully when sprayed on, it really numbs the pain but unfortunately it is not long lasting. Once applied, and I use it heavily, it only lasts for about 30 minutes. It is enough for me to fall asleep, but if used during the day I feel like I have to constantly respray the product.
The menthol odor also fades, so that is a plus.
