I've heard a lot about this product so I thought I'd give the roll-on bottle a try- and boy does it live up to its name!

Biofreeze is a form of cryotherapy, which basically means cold therapy. It contains a natural menthol, so I feel like its a pretty safe product to use. I'm guessing this product works by stimulating the large diameter nerves that carry the cool sensation- thereby blocking pain which is carried on small diameter nerves. Other forms of (cryo)therapy that use this principle include TENS units, spray and stretch, and plain old ice.

I consider useful Biofreeze Gel 3 Oz. ROLL-ON - 3 PACK- minor aches and pains that we all get now and then, although if you have a consistent problem, it would probably be good to get at the cause as Biofreeze mainly treats symptoms temporarily.

With a 2 year shelf-life and roll-on applicator, its just perfect for throwing in your gym bag and using as needed. Also recommend Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow for those who need additional options to treat their tennis elbow.

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and my physical therapist introduced me to this product last year. Once leaving physical therapy, I didn't realize I could buy this for myself so I haven't used it in over a year. I was excited to come across it on Amazon and had to buy it. I use it on my knees, shoulders, back, wrists, and elbows. This product fills in the gaps when the pain comes back between medication doses. I don't know how I survived without it. My husband, who does not suffer from chronic pain, uses it for muscle strains and soreness and loves it too. The primary ingredient is Natural Menthol and while you can smell the menthol, it's not overpowering or offensive like many other OTC products. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone suffering from arthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, and/or sore muscles. Between the price point at Amazon and the quality of the product, I will be purchasing several more bottles soon.

BIOFREEZE is a wonderful product, especially in the spray-on application and the tube. I have found the Roll-on to be less effective than either of the two aforementioned products. I will still buy this product however, as it is being sold at close-out prices while the old packaging units are being sold.

I love the roller ball version of this stuff because i dont like the smell all over my hands. It works okay. I wouldnt say its a miracle but i also have severe neck and back pain. I love the fact that it tingles pretty strong after a few minutes and it takes my mind off the pain for a short time. I keep one of these in my purse.

i purchased this product after trying it out post professional massage. I believe she used the cream version. The sensation was very cooling and soothing, not to mention it lasted for what seemed like at least an hour. I purchased the roll on version, because I dont like getting it on my hands. It works okay, but even if I slather it on the cooling sensation seems to be gone after maybe 10 minutes or so. Plus it is not as effective as my tiger balm or icy hot. I will not purchase this again.

Not sure if this product actually does anything of value other than making sore muscles "Feel" better when you have it on. That being said, it does feel nice to cool sore muscles, and I have found if you have the surface where you have applied the biofreeze pressed against a cushion or other surface it feels even cooler.

At first I was a little bit hesitant to try this product, I honestly didn't think it would work but so far it's been pretty good for me. I pack it in my gym bag, which lives in my car. I first used Biofreeze for a bruised thigh (got tackled playing touch football) and it helped quite a bit and now I use it for those little aches and pains I sometimes get.

This product is great for giving temporary relief to arthritic knees. The liquid is cold on contact and it eases pain temporarily.

Hard to believe how painful your shoulder can be after rotator cuff surgery. I had tried a couple of similar brands, along with pads, but BioFreeze seems to do the best job, and the effects last the longest. I'm hoping not to need it soon, but for the present, it's great!
