I have a son that is 9 months old and has ashma, and when I would vacuum he would cough and his eyes would water for the next 6 hours. Well I had heard from my son's doctor that a lot of vacuums do put most of the dust and dirt and carpet fibers that you pick up into the air. Well, a friend recommended this vacuum to me, so I thought I would try it. I CAN NOT BE MORE HAPPY! I vacuumed right around my son and he didn't cough once. It is fabulous. He even crawled up on top of it and sat on the nose and when I turned it on he just giggled at the vibration. NO COUGHING!!! And the dirt it picks up is something that you have not seen before. I thought that my carpet was clean before, but it was nowhere this close. I made 4 swipes and I had to empty it. It is very powerful, quiet, and very easy to manuver. The filters are great, and the extention hose on it is durable and great. I LOVE THIS VACUUM. Now I can vacuum any time I want, because my son can breath safely. I would recommend it to everyone.

The Bissell 3575-8 seems to be very well thought out. There are three easy to remove filters: 1 thick sponge, 1 thin sponge and 1 thin carbon filter. All three are washable, but there is no HEPA filter. The dust cup is very sanitary and easy to remove.

A previous reviewer claimed this vacuum to be quiet. On top of the great reviews this machine has gotten, being quiet made this vacuum perfect, so I went out and bought it. Sadly I can't imagine how she could come to the conclusion that the vacuum is quiet. It's not insanely noisy, but it is by no means quiet. In fact, I've never heard of a quiet vacuum... Is that even possible?

I tested it out by cleaning a very small portion of carpet. The bissel had more dirt in the cup after that small cleaning than my old vacuum would after vacuuming the whole room. I've been waiting to buy a vacuum for nearly a year, and I'm very glad I chose this one. Everything seems to be high quality except for the seemingly fragile wheels, its much better than my slightly more expensive eureka. Because all filters are removable and washable, I think that the vacuum will retain its cleaning power well over the years.

Also, this vacuum is erroneously labeled as 3575-B at some other stores.

I am amazed at the power of the Bissell vacuum. I used the Bissell for the first time in my bedroom and the dirt cup was half full when I finished. I didn't know my carpet was that dirty! I previously used an Oreck upright vacuum for the last two years (unfortunately) and it has never worked right from day one. The Oreck vacuum has fallen apart, the belts break easily, the dust bag holder constantly falls off and it was time for me to get a new vacuum or lose my sanity. I am very satisfied and amazed at how well the Bissell operates. I would recommended a Bissell to anyone who is looking for an affordable and excellent product.

I have my own cleaning business, and I use the bagless bissell for most of my houses I do, this is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Not only is it great on carpets, tile floors, wood floors, but it's great for doing ledges, window cills, and even corners on ceilings. It saves me alot of time and aggruvation not having to switch vacuums and all. I love it so much I just ordered one for my own home.

This is my first bagless vacuum, and I love it. No more trips for me to 4 different stores in search of the right bag, and not to mention the filters are all washable. It is very powerful, pulling out dirt I didn't even know I had. Some other features I like are the height adjustment so I can vacuum my carpets as well as my tile and hardwood surfaces, and the bright headlight that directs me to all the dog hair hidden in corners. Not that it matters, but the color is really cool too (the pictures don't really do it justice, as it has an almost metallic fleck finish.) If you compare this vacuum to others in the same price range, I think you'll see that the Cleanview offers more features for less money, and I'm here to tell you it does an outstanding job. Bissell definitely has a winner here.

There have been a lot of improvements from the previous models. I actually bought this after reading the reviews on amazon and also based on a friend's experience with the cleaner.

(1) I particularly liked the transparent bagless dirt container. It really tells you how much you collected from each room and lets you know how dirty each room is.

(2) The cleaner itself is so light from a previous model and it is effortless to move it around as long as you have the correct setting (in terms of carpet height)

(3) Very easy to assemble, it assembled in less than 10 minutes.

(4) As other reviewers said, I did not get a single sneeze because of its airtight design. It does not seem to create any dust while vaccuming.

(5) It not only cleans the carpets well, also the bare floor. The floor of my kitchen was done in a few seconds!

I would say that this is a wonderful vaccum and must have for every home!

I have never had a bagless vacuum so maybe I am easily impressed.But I just love how easy everything is, even my young kids can easily empty the dirt cup. All the filters are easy to get to also.And everything is equally easy to get back together,no forcing.Seems like a solid quality too, not a flimsy plastic.
I would not exactly call it quiet, but it certainly is not obnoxious.I can hear my kids talking to me and they dont have to scream, just speak up a bit. But my daughter still has to cover her ears.
I vacuumed all rooms TWICE each day, two days in a row, and still got a full cup in each room each time. Now I knew my carpet was in need, but surprised more keeps coming up.We're living on old rental carpets,hoping this vacuum is durable. But I guess even if it only lasts one year, I will still be happy and can easily get another one.
oh, and my kids are bickering over who gets to vacuum first!

we have been looking in local stores for a good, well made vacuum that didn't break the bank to purchase. This vac does all it is advertised to do; the suction in impressive, the bare floor setting cleans our tile house here in Florida very well, and the stretch hose really does reach our high ceilings with ease. We have had the vac several months, and it certainly continues to meet our expectations.

HOLY SMOKES this thing ROCKS! The post motor filter can be removed and you *can* put in a Bissel HEPA filter! I put Bissel's "Style 7 HEPA Media" in there and it fit snuggly. I compared the two vacuums (the cleanview bagless and the HEPA cleanview bagless). Aside from the brush viewing thing in front and some "soft cover" for furniture bumping, they are the same vacuum (at least it looked that way to me)! They even have the same encasing for the HEPA filter, which is why I tried the filter from the HEPA model in the limited edition model. Same fit, everything!

So I saved myself $40 (store price difference) on the vacuum and purchased the limited edition and a style 7 HEPA filter for only $9! What a DEAL! And MAN can this thing CLEAN! I couldn't *believe* the NASTY funk that came out of my carpet! I bet I could vacuum for a solid month non-stop with this and still get crud out!

My daughter is also an ASTHMATIC with severe allergies and her allergies have subsided tremendously. She has ATOPIC DERMATITIS and getting all that crud out of the floor, I believe, has even aided with that (she lies on the carpet to watch TV).

The hose ROCKS too! It stretches really easy. Not like the old "wanna-be" stretchable hoses. This one actually stretches with you.

I did some *serious* homework on vacuums before I went to the store. I was determined to get a Eureka but when I compared all the vacuums there, this was by far the best selection and a *great* price ($62).

In terms of HEPA, this one has it. That removes 99.9% (according to the style 7 HEPA filter packaging) of DUST MITES, POLLENS, AND RAGWEED. HEPA filters are known for removing 99.7 to 99.9% of dust mites, pollen, & allergens down to 0.3 microns - the microns is the key... that is so microscopic! This gets the dander out of the air and off upholstry. Dander is what DUST MITES feed off of, so the more you get rid of, the better off you are. That includes pet dander and human dander. And don't forget the DUST MITE DROPPINGS (ew). Dust mites are so microscopic you can't see them, but they're there... isn't that a disgusting thought?

That's why purchasing this vacuum will be a blessing to your household, even if you don't have allergies, the quality of the air you breathe will drastically improve with regular use (not to mention all the nasty crud it will suck up out of your carpet -- you'll be amazed at what you didn't know was in there, you just *think* your carpet is clean today)!

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS VACUUM! If you or a family member is an allergy sufferer, I strongly suggest checking out the "Hamilton Beach 04163 TrueAir HEPA Air Purifier with UV Germicidal Light" too. Drastic improvements to my child's health! That and the Bissell Cleanview bagless with the style 7 HEPA filter go hand-in-hand for better quality air (see recommended items for a direct link)

BISSELL CLEANVIEW BAGLESS ROCKS!!!!! You won't *believe* the JUNK this thing will pull out of your carpet! If I could, I'd give it a million stars, I *LOVE* it and I couldn't be happier with my purchase :o)

With Bissell I've finally found the answer to dreading vacuuming! I see now that this model is no longer available through Amazon, but please read this reveiw anyway because it may apply to other Bissell bagless models too.

A couple of days before this one arrived I threw my Dirt Devil Featherlite out on the curb! I just couldn't take the NOISE anymore. I've kept my old Hoover around because they just don't build 'em like that anymore -- after 25 years it still works. BUT, even Hoover doesn't make a decent vacuum cleaner anymore.

This beautiful Bissell -- NOT loud and abnoxious, not heavy, and easy to assemble, use, and empty. What's really really cool though is that it actually works! It gets up more than any other vacuum I've used. My rugs and carpets look GREAT -- and that's with four cats in the house! And, a real bonus is that the hose is FLEXIBLE -- it's not one of those awful rigid hoses that doesn't seem to want to go the direction you're aiming for!

This item should get a lot more than 5 stars!
