I am so glad my Regina Steemer broke! This guy cleans circles around my old Regina! It has smart details like a tank that becomes a bucket with a handle for easy lifting and carrying. It also has 3 settings for the shampoo. It is extremely well made, quiet and FAST! It's also lightweight without being chintzy on the materials-easy to lift up and down stairs. Also comes with an upholstery brush and hose. I highly recommend this powerhouse. I have 2 big dogs and 7 cats so I know when something cleans well!

When my husband and I renovated our 1970's home we put cheap carpet in with thought that we were going to sell it in a couple of years. Well, five years down the road we are still here and so is the carpet. I thought we were going to have to replace it because it looked just down right filthy. My husband is a welder, so he seems to bring a lot of that black soot in with him. Needless to say after one time around with the cleaner my carpet looks great. What a deal!!!

This is my second carpet cleaner. Last year we put new carpet and Turkish rugs in our house. I live with three shelties, two cats, a mother that wears boots in the house, and an asthmatic sister. We own a dyson, which is wonderful.We run it three times a week or more.

My last carpet cleaner was a hoover, it leaked like a bucket with holes and was hard to run. I could not bring myself to buy the hoover everone else likes on amazon because it looked just like the last monster.

We plugged this in and did all the carpets, works just fine. Not enough cleaning solution, like the mixer tank, like how the tanks fill and empty.

We used natures miracle pet stain lifter, which worked fine to clean the carpets, took a bunch of stains out of the old section.

Since we have so many pets, the front of the machine clogged with dirt,and fur we had to run a little hot water in the tanks to clear it, about every two buckets.That is the weak part of this machine if you have pets. So four stars not five for not being able to clean the front section.

If the little button is not whirling, its time to run some hot water.

This was a good buy for 80$, no shipping. Carpets are cleaner, stains gone, easy to run, will get my wear out of it.

If you like clean floors, buy a dyson and the Hoover vinly floor cleaner.

I had a HUGE coke stain in my living room (my reason for purchasing this machine). My carpet is a VERY light color and I was worried nothing could remove this stain which had been there for months. Well, I only had to go over it one time and it pulled it right out! I was AMAZED that the next morning my carpet was dry! I have paid someone to come clean my carpet in the past (and paid more than this machine cost) and it took several days before my carpet felt dry. This machine is really a great buy and I am so glad I found it. I will no longer have to stress out if my 3 kids spill something. Highly recommend!!!

The Bissell 8806Q is an excellent machine. We have indoor pets and in their housebreaking stage this machine has been a lifesaver. The ease of use is as easy as using an upright vaccum. The 8806Q pulls out waste products as well as hair and other unwanted items. When used with the bissell pet odor solution purchased at Walmart for under $20 a gallon. The unit is as economical as effective. A great product for a low price. You won't be sorry purchasing this one.

I really liked the product. I have kids and pets and it was able to get out pretty much every thing they have spilled on our brand new carpet in the past year. I really don't have any complaints about this at all. It definitely beats renting a steamer from the store and buying all the cleaning supplies. Our carpet is new, so this may have made a difference, but I used the same stuff that came with the cleaner (bought a refill from WalMart) and have not had to buy a bunch of other cleaners and such.

I purchased this carpet cleaner as a gift for my son and daughter-in-law who have two small children. They were in desperate need as their carpet was really very dirty with lots of little spills on it. All of us were absolutely amazed at the job this cleaner did! The carpet look brand new just like when they moved in! Great product. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great machine-I am extremely glad I purchased it. The thought of never lugging a commercial machine into, and out of, my car is well worth the price. It met all of my expectations and more. I won't repeat the other reviewers. However some points:

1. This is NOT a commercial machine. It doesn't clean as well-on the first pass-because the rotating brush only goes in one direction. Make several passes in different directions-you will get the same results.

2. Read the directions. Do not be like yours truly and THEN figure out how to use the spot cleaning tool the right way-which is awesome, and has removed even chocolate (with preteating) from my 25 year old rug. Also, as the directions state, don't keep the trigger depressed on your return path when shampooing. It wastes (expensive) soap.

3. Use the right shampoo. Order it now-that sample you get goes fast. Do not get Zep from Home Depot and expect it to do the same thing. Ah-no. I hade to rinse my carpet about 3 times. And it doesn't work as well, or smell as good.

4. Pretreat. I used Woolite with Oxy, before I shampooed for the second time. Big difference! Also vacuum well before you shampoo, the filter can get clogged.

All in all, very happy with this. Doesn't leak (you need to push gently on the tanks) is lightweight, but the water tank is on the small side. Small price to pay!

WHAT A GREAT STEAM CLEANER FOR THE PRICE! NOT ONLY DID IT CLEAN UP MY CARPET GREAT, BUT MY MOMS (WHO HAD NASTY PET STAINS). NOW OUR CARPET LOOKS BRAND NEW! IF YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS CARFULLY IT WONT LEAK OR BREAK!

I bought this to clean the carpet in my Basement which was a berberr carpet. First thing I read on the Manual is that it doesn't work well on Berberr carpets. Great! Tried using it te first few times and the front lip ket jamming on the carpet making it so annoying to use. Turns out that the front lip wasn't installed properly when I got the product. I installed it correctly and it worked somewhat okay since then.

I bought it to replace a Dirt Devil carpet cleaner which the previous owners of the house I just bought, left with the house. The old Dirt Devil cleaner worked better than my Brand new Bissell powerlifter. I should have just returned the Bissell and used the Dirt Devil.
