Designed for use in Bissell's 5770 Healthy Home Vacuum, this replacement HEPA filter cartridge captures 99.9-percent of dust mites, ragweed, and pollen to help purify the air while vacuuming. The HEPA filter cartridge should be replaced every six months or if suction declines. More or less frequent replacing may be required based on individual vacuuming habits and types of debris picked up. To avoid damaging the HEPA filter cartridge and reducing its filtration capabilities, be careful not to touch the filter material. The cartridge measures 2-1/2 by 2-3/4 by 12-3/4 inches.

We have a Bissell Healthy Home 5770 vacuum and this was the filter (3282 HEPA) part in it. It was immediately obvious when we tried to replace the Bissell filter that came with our vacuum with the one purchased on Amazon.com that this was NOT the same filter. Design aside, it took a great deal of force to make the filter even fit into the vacuum. I decided to try it anyway and I could immediately smell the dust blowing from our vacuum. We had just completed a construction project, so the container of the vacuum had a good two inches of drywall dust/debris. When I had vacuumed with the original filter, no smell, no dust. With the new filter, instantly could smell and tell the dust was being blow out from the filter spot. In fact, when I bent down to investigate, I started sneezing right away. I find it highly doubtful that this is a HEPA filter if it is letting dry wall dust blow out through it. Took the 'new' filter out to put the original one back in and smell/dust stopped. Am upset that I wasted my money on this product. Very disappointed.
