This is a wonderful, well-made leather case for the Asus 1000he. There are several slim pockets under the screen cover side for memory cards & a few business cards and the leather is high quality.

The only bad news is that there is a small leather strip running under the space bar (and above the touch pad) that makes the space bar a little difficult to hit when typing fast. You have to angle your thumb down more to hit the space bar or else you'll be blocked by the leather strip.

My friend noticed this right away but if you don't mind this minor annoyance, this case is for you! I figure that I can either cut this leather part off or remove the cover when typing extensively. Problem solved.

I did not read the reviews before buying the product so when it got to my home i realized that it did not fit my Asus eee pc 1005ha.

So i cut and shortened the straps at the back, stitched them back and now it fits.

I have this case for my 1000he. It is beautiful and protects well. Mostly. The leather takes a beating and saves the machine.
However, there are 2 real design flaws keeping this from being perfect.

1.) The worst flaw is the stitching. For some reason the stitches left pressure marks on my screen and I had to apply 4 foam pads to keep the screen from being flush to the stiches. I couldn't find the pads in black, they are white, so stick out and are ugly, but keep my screen safe. I ended up using the little sticky pads on cabinets that keep them from banging shut since my grandson was kind enough to have already peeled them off for me. They don't leave a sticky residue if I remove them from my netbook. Worked in a pinch.

2.) Second, is the backing does indeed scratch the back of the the netbook. The shiny black back of the netbook was new before I put the leather case on, now I have several scratches all throughout the back. I think a felt material might have worked better.

The leather is starting to get scarred up and I rarely use the netbook, not sure who is scuffing it, but if the leather looks like that I can't imagine how the netbook would look without it. The magnetic closure strap is nice, though I wish it could be pushed into the case when not needed. I tend to fold it under, but it is starting to develop a crease.
