Now that's a belt..., February 1, 2010
What makes a person buy this belt?
It's an emergency repelling harness.
But that's not why I bought it.
It can be used as an emergency tow strap... For a semi.
But that's not why I bought it.
It can be used as an impromptu lifting sling for a 144mm howitzer.
But that's not why I bought it.
It does a great job of distributing the weight of firearms, tools, and various other equipment.
But that's not why I bought it.
It is for all intents and purposes flame proof and is highly resistant to wear and chafing.
But that's not why I bought it.
With the kydex inserts and multiple layers of military grade webbing, it will stop a blade.
But that's not why I bought it.
In a pinch, the buckle is heavy enough to use the belt as an improvised weapon without adding to whatever load you are carrying.
But that's not why I bought it.
Why have I bought three of these belts and why do I wear my current one every day?
Because I have never, in my life, even in any fantasy, ever had a belt that does its primary task better than this belt does.
It holds my pants up like it's got an attitude about the job.
I'm serious, I could have 20 pounds of crap hanging off my belt and another 30 in my pockets and the only thing that has a chance of giving way is my knees. I have routinely carried a full loadout of gun, extra mags, flashlight, radio, cellphone, multi-tool, keys, etc, and I am not a skinny man. But never once have I ever had any doubt that my pants were going to stay in place.
Let me put it another way, if I were Batman, this is the belt I would use. This is super belt. This is the belt that other belts want to be when they grow up. For you geeks out there, and you know who we are. This is the Ninja, the Pirate, and the Bun-Bun of belts. Rambo fears this belt, it would kick his butt.
What could be added to it??? Kryptonite maybe?

EXCELLENT BELT but *WARNING!*..., September 18, 2011
This review is from: BLACKHAWK! Black Instructor's Gun Belt (Sports)
This is the perfect tactical gun belt imo, absolutely solid construction, phenomonal security for yor gun. Unfortunately I have a 32/33 waist and even if you're a 34 I don't think this is going to work, it's WAY too big. I sold it to my tenant, he liked it, he's a 36, all the way tightened it fits him. I figured I could find one that fits me SOMEWHERE on the internet, it seems it doesn't exist anywhere??? This really confuses me, I'm not some small guy, I'm physically fit with an average athletic build(5'11 , 175) why they would only make a tactical belt for Over 34 and up is beyond me? I was an Infantry squad leader and 7/9 people in my squad were roughly waist 32/33 5'11 175 lol so it just doesn't make sense to me. This belt was purchased for tactical plain clothes work and now that I know it doesn't exist in my size I like it so much I'm actually going to purchase another and modify it(remove velcro, cut, reattach) I read about someone doing that on another site. IMO this belt is worth it so be warned if you're like me, I still highly reccomend it but you'll have to do the same.

Perfect Gun Belt with a problem!, September 20, 2010
Well I wanted a gun belt that would be stiff enough to support my weapon in a holster so it would not move around and be stiff enough to not collapse under my love handles. It does that with no problem.
What does irritate me is the way I have to fasten it.
I have to pull it so tight and fight with the velcro as I put it through my belt loops and try to get it tight enough to do the job that I stopped using it.
I just didn't know how tough it was to fasten and undo and refasten again every time I have to drop my pants to go to the toilet.
I like the way it supports the gun and my pants, but it's just too much trouble to use. I wish there was a better way to work it and have it be more stretchy and easier to use. Then it would be perfect.
I don't need the safety loop, so that should be an option.
