I have been looking for the perfect IWB holster for my J frame S&W 642. This holster, while beautiful leather and craftmanship, is not it. The belt strap does not keep this holster in the waistband, and many times while practice drawing, the holster comes with the weapon, and it covers the trigger. This makes for a very dangerous situation. The leather is molded perfectly, and the stitching seems better than others, but it needs a clip not a strap. I cannot recommend this holster. It is not worth the cost of returning (for the low price paid), but I cannot recommend. Other holsters on Amazon that have clips are far better.

I was told by many gun shops to go with a composite holster. But my co-worker told me to go with leather and this brand.

It is my first hand gun and (obviously) first concealed carry. I find this holster much easier to use as a back holster. I frequently work with white shirts and the leather has never marked any of my clothing. I'm a little overweight, so it doesn't work great as a side holster if your pants don't have a little room in them.

There are a few great things about the holster:

1. It is a perfect match to my M&P 40, including slide release etc. It is custom to this gun and will fit perfectly. The adjustment screw was great after about 100 in and outs.

2. The belt loop on it is of very good and strong leather. Both my friend and I frequently carry without actually using the snap around a belt. You can use with any pair of jeans, dress pants, shorts etc. that have any rigidity.

3. The holster is classy, built very well and I'm glad I got it.

I purchased this holster 4 days ago for a Glock22. I've warn it concealed every day all day amongst freinds and family to test it out.
1. Quality: Great construction heavy thread and stitching. Leather is molded well and retains weapon.
2. Concealability: Nobody had noticed me wearing it at all. Even my wife yesterday gave me a hug and said in suprise, "Oh, you have it on." I wear it at 3 o'clock with a tucked t-shirt and overshirt or 4'oclock with a tucked t-shirt and tucked buttonup.
3. Negetives: a) With only one strap the can't adjustment is overpowered by the weight of the gun, twisting it a bit. b) The leather strap bulgess. I actually went to a tent and canvas shop and had them make me a new one for $5, which lays flat, out of nylon webbing. I'll keep working with the leather one. If I can break it in a bit I might go back to it for larger belts
Overall I'm very pleased.

This holster fits my Beretta 92FS perectly and allows for a comfortable concealed carry of a full-size pistol. Very pleased with this product!

I ordered the holster for a new Springfield XDM and it works perfectly. It fits like a glove and is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

I carry concealed almost 24/7. I wanted a better J-frame holster. I had the Uncle Mike's and let me say that I can't recommend anything from Uncle Mike's.
Local gun store had several in-stock, including the Blackhawk IWB leather holster.

What I liked about it first was the quality of the construction, the leather was flawless, the stitching was neat, and the edges were smooth. It fit my pistol like a glove. The adjustable cant feature is well done. So far it has held the pistol securely, wether driving, hiking, or working. It tucks in tight and I keep a slight forward cant for better concealability. I was quite pleased because I had never known Blackhawk for anything except for tactical dropleg super holsters. This holster was a pleasant surprise, and it's the one I always use for J-frame S&Ws now.
Well worth the money, and with a little massage with some silicone spray, it draws smooth and reholsters without problem. Two thumbs up.

I've had several cheap concealment holsters from Uncle Mike's and never really was very impressed. I was in a Chili's Restaurant a few weeks ago when I stood up and almost dropped my Glock 27 on the floor (using my Uncle Mike's inside-the-pants holster with plastic belt clip). That's when I decided it was time to spend a little more and get a holster that is actually safe to carry with. I did a lot of homework and decided to go with the Blackhawk! Inside-The-Waist leather holster. It's definitely the best decision I've made since getting my CCP. The holster is comfortable, and because of the belt loop (rather than a clip, I don't ever have to worry about it slipping off my belt. My gun draws easily and quietly, yet it does not move when I don't want it to because of the adjustable tension. I'll lay it out plainly... I LOVE THIS HOLSTER!!!

This holster is great. It fits my Beretta 92FS perfectly even with the added crimson trace laser grips. Conceals inside the waistband nicely and dampening the belt loop a bit with water and then clamping it overnight does help it to lay more flat and prevent it from sticking out or bulging beneath your shirt. This is a well made leather product and I have paid twice this price for "custom made" holsters that were sub par.

Product on first inspection looks well constructed only time will tell.It offers good coverage for my glock 19 and as far as concelment goes it is great.very hard to notice Ive got a gun at all on me much less something as large as a glock 19.You can adjust retention and it seems fairly comfortable but I have not wore it a lot yet.As others hav said the loop is to big I was using a 2 inch belt and it was still to beg causing a slight buldge but I did not feel it was really noticable.The strap was a tad thin and seems to be the only weak link in construction.Overall I think its a great product expecially when you consider it will work with many glocks not just the 19.

Well designed and comfortable. Leather quality and stitching is excellent. I can tell I'm going to be using this holster a very long time. Thanks for a great product.
