4.0 out of 5 stars Shoulder harness, June 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The picture is a little misleading as you only get the straps not the belt. The product is great but don't assume you get a belt too unless you find a package deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars BLACKHAWK! Load Bearing Suspenders/Harness, January 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just got these today on time...let me say, "WOW, amazing!"...The pictures does not do them justice until you hold them in your hands in person. Got mine for $28 with free S&H, which is sweet considering they're usually priced from $38-$58 alone by themselves without S&H included. Let me say this to the point: outside the (M.O.L.L.E) battle-belt suspenders-harness from (Condor)---these by (Blackhawk), are the best suspender-harness system/gear you can buy & own on the market! Despite them being situated strictly for Military & Law-Enforcement tactical duty situations: you can use them for any situation you need suspenders for whether it's camping, hiking, construction/work, security, secret-service, law enforcement, military, para-military/survivalist, medical ambulance aid-units, sport-shooting, school, airsoft, paintball, etc, or just simply for costume pieces for Halloween, etc. These are far superior updates to the old style Alice Lc-1 suspenders, with many more features that too me prove invaluable[e.g.needed drastically to sustain proper comfortable use over periods of time of the item]. I have owned in the past 2 sets of the older style Alice Lc-1 GI enhanced tactical-suspenders with one being an (OD Y=3 Point) and other a (Black H=4 Point). Those suspenders where terribly short in length of the shoulder-padding which rode up onto my shoulders above each breast; and no matter whether they were the (Y=3 Point) or (H=4 point)---they were made with a (V) shaped angled padding design, enclosed by small angled strip of Nylon in the back across the neck area holding the 2 pads together which always caused irritation, loss of circulation, pain, discomfort, etc, as they felt like they would cut off your head from the pad-pressure squeezing around your neck...Well, these Blackhawk load-bearing suspenders are a truly an (H-4 Point) design with two nice fairly straight long pads & a straight good-sized piece of Nylon webbing in the back area fastening them together across the neck region above your shoulder blades. On older style GI suspenders because of how they were designed, the pads would always slant-off in each direction under your arm-pits restricting arm movement. You do not have that problem with these, mainly because the webbing in the back isn't holding the 2 pads so tight together, giving lee-way room for various neck-shoulder-gurth-height sizing!

I am 6"2 @ 360 pounds and big strong burly guy with some muscles w/ 5XL rib-cage/chest. These pads do not slant off under my arms and head down right just under the middle of each breast. These Black L.B.C suspenders have some great features that the older style GI Alice LC-1 LBC-S'ers do not have: such as the chest/breast/sternum strap in the front {which helps with both support, durability, and protection from the suspenders shifting all of the place when maneuvering, and slanting off under your arm-pits etc}. Plus, it has a drag-handle in case you're incapacitated for whatever reason, and emergency-medic crews need to get you out of a tough situation where they cannot lift you up immediately. These suspenders are made out of strong durable Nylon material and are rough-n-tough all the way through. They have 1 D-Ring on each pad in the front, with 1 single strip/row of (M.O.L.L.E) for attachments of radio, utility pouch, flashlight, etc, below the rings...And Unlike on older Alice LC-1 LBC-S'ers which were made with metal attachment clips---these are made with hook-and-loop Nylon-Velcro belt keepers with 2 snap-buttons besides the Velcro for further fastening. These Blackhawk LBC-S'ers can be utilized too attach to anything: such as battle-belt, construction tool/work belt, or like me---to your standard duty/pistol belt [which my belt is in my BDU trousers]. I needed a pair of suspenders strictly for trouser support, and these were perfect for just that! Just ordered a new plate-carrier and while my (5.11 VTac LBE MOLLE)vest had built-in belt-keepers for trouser support: plate-carriers do not have such belt-support attachments. So, I needed a pair of suspenders to wear under my plate-carrier for trouser support so my pants wouldn't fall down, which I have a problem with especially when wearing leg-platforms, knee pads, and thigh-holsters which constantly tugs on my pants when prone, crouching, kneeling, etc. It was between these, or the Black GI Enhanced Alice LC-1 LBC-S'ers---and very glad I had chosen these ones...Not one regret; and best buy for the money & features if you don't want the Condor (M.O.L.L.E) battle-belt harness-suspenders. These should be defined as "Universal", because there really isn't much you cannot do with them and use them for. And despite them officially being listed as an (H=4 Point) item, if you count in the drag-handle & sternum-strap one can rightfully say these are 6 point suspenders!

Pro's)
- Really well-manufactured and designed [hold-up under any condition]
- Sternum Strap [Won't shift all over causing discomfort, pain, irritation, etc]
- Black [Just My Preference]
- True straight H design/style
- Drag Handle
- Hook N Loop Nylon-Velcro belt-keeper attachment points, making them virtually universal [But metal clips on older style Alice suspenders are cool/desirable to me, also, win=win]
- Excellent Price$
- Reinforced Stitching
- Nice strong hard plastic buckles [not low quality like some]
- Some usable features like D-Rings, MOLLE strip, etc
- Thick fairly long pads

Con's)
- While the pads are fairly long, a couple of extra inches wouldn't hurt and be desirable to me
- Would've been nice if Blackhawk kept the metal clips on the padding area, like on the other Alice Lc-1 LBC-S'ers
- Would've been nice to have some MOLLE rows on the back neck padding area where the drag-handle is
- Would've been nice to have some extra MOLLE strips on the front padding as well

***All-and-All, I am very impressed and satisfied as a consumer...I love them, and got what I was hoping by looking at the picture...I would buy again if needed!
