In the end, I would recommend this product.
Chris
The size of the phone is perfect in that my big hands don't feel like I'm holding a PEZ dispenser for a cell phone.
Teddy Westmoreland
The critical issue with this phone is its problems with T-Mobile.

I got this yesterday. I like the size. Perfect for my plate size hands. T Mobile SIM that was OK for 4G is only getting EDGE wich is 2G speeds of 150K. No trouble recognizing and pairing with nuvi for bluetooth but then it force closes the app. I will try reinstalling and messing with it. Same goes for Skype.

On wifi i get 15mbs internet on a n/g network. Phones dont use n as far as I know. Good speeds using andFTP for loading apps from my ftp server.

Whatsapp, speedtest.net, mail, clock widgets, app2sd, kindle, bank apps all work fine. I will load up the apps and stress it on the weekend and give a more comprehensive report and adjust the stars appropriately.

Interestingly it has a port on the side that has a cover over it. The port is identical to the multi port on a samsung galaxy tab 10.1. my Galaxy charger chargers it from empty to full 30% faster in mt anecdotal experience thus far.

I did not expect a mega phone. my other one is a samsung galaxy exhibit - low-end small prepaid android. same os, easy transition. I like having more tan double the screen.

if i can get the 3 g working i will be ecstatic. I BOUGHT a second white one - i will look for inconsistencies or validate similarity over the weekend. BLU D510 STUDIO 5.3 Unlocked Android Quad Band Dual SIM Smartphone with 5.3-Inch Display, 5MP Camera, Wi-Fi and GPS - White. Read my other android review - I try to be complete and non biased.

Update 8/5/2012

So as stated I bought 2 of these. The black version and the white one listed above.

First of all I own a iPhone 4, but I was getting tired of a 2007 Screen Size, 3.5 was good for the year 2007 , but in 2012 the minimum screen size for a SmartPhone was to be at least 4.3 as the Samsung Galaxy S2. Looking at Web Pages or movies in a 3.5 screen it's not fun any more, so I have one more year on my iPhone contract and didn't want to spend $600-$500 in a new Samsung Galaxy S2 or Note. So I ask around and a friend toll me about the Blu Studio, I say a Blu what ??? Is that a Chinese company ??? And he told me it was a USA company base in Miami, that was selling cheap cellphones for the Developing World, but has some interesting Android offerings. So I Google the Studio and saw a good article in Engadget about the phone, so I decided to give it a try. The Blu Studio it's not a Galaxy Note and I didn't intended to be, I know what I pay for it, but for the price It blew my mind. The Screen size its massive as the Galaxy Note, my iPhone screen looks really small compare to this, there is a BIG difference in browsing the Web in this Phone or looking at my Gmail account. For any business situation I will prefer this phone over my small iPhone, but this phone is slow for gaming or intense applications like the Waze GPS app is not as good as the iPhone, I know its because its small processor 650 mhz against a Dual Core 1000mhz in the iPhone. But because of this also the battery last triple you charge your Studio every two days, I have to charge my iPhone twice a day. Android still have to catch with Apple in the apps department but they are catching up, there is now Instagram for Android and Flipboard my favorite app already have a Beta Android App. The WI FI in this phone is amazing strong and the 3G works fine with T Mobile Prepaid SIM.Read more ›

Pros

Battery life is good.
Screen is clear, even with its low pixel density, and everything is very visible and easy to use with it's large 5.3 inch screen.
The built-in speaker is nice and loud, great for listening to Pandora or what have you.
Dual sim works just fine and plenty of setting to customize how and when your sim cards will be used.
Golaucher comes installed and looks and runs nicely.
It also feels nice in the hand (though the size at times leaves me feeling somewhat comical) and build quality is good considering how new to the market this brand is.
I ordered the black one (the only color available on amazon at the time) and it looks very sharp.
It has a front facing camera as well that works with some video chat apps (not Skype at the time of this review unfortunately)
I was surprised to find that I could slide this into most of my pockets ;)
And of course the price is fair. Many would believe from looking at it that you had paid more.

Cons

This is NOT the 800mhz studio 5.3 as advertised, it is the 650mhz.
Also finding a case for this phone is pretty much impossible. However there are Samsung Note sleeves it will squeeze into. Adobe Flash player does not come installed and is not available from Google play for download for this device. The user manual is useless (if you care to read such a thing). Its full of typos and grammar mistakes and describes very little about the product's functions.

In the end, I would recommend this product. Hopefully someone will come out with a silicon case for this thing soon. But until then, if handled with care, I think this phone is something many people would enjoy owning.
