BMA Taekwondo Reversible Chest Guard New WTF Style

We bought this BMA "Reversible Chest Guard" shortly after buying two TMAS Hogu Chest Protector for use in our TaeKwonDo sparring practice. We are using these to allow fairly heavy (but not "full") contact between my son, my daughter, and I. This chest guard fits me well and does provide fairly better protection to the chest, belly, and rib areas but is a little bulkier and more restrictive than the TMAS protector. Here are my observations:

Pros -
+ Sized Correctly; covers the important areas
+ Good Protection; while it spreads out the force of the impact fairly well, a very solid hit is still felt (and can hurt)
+ Reversible; red on one side and blue on the other, but also good if the cover on one side gets damaged
+ Easy to Adjust; fits well and can be used by smaller or larger people, by one size or so

Cons -
- Restrictive; this is a little stiff and will hinder more energetic martial artists

Misc -
* Have reasonable expectations; these will not absorb the full force of properly thrown sidekick

I am very happy with this protector since it provides very good protection and allowed for a new level of intensity in our training.

Our instructor is a 14 time world breaking champion. While nothing can spare you from all of the impact, i have been pleased so far. Size 6 was sized appropriate for me, being 6'3" and 275 lbs.
