About the Author
Laurence Meredith has written some 38 books, 36 of them about cars and motor racing. He lives in rural Herefordshire, England. Motorsport has been a lifelong obsession that continues to this day. He has a particular interest in German cars, and is a leading authority on Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Meredith has spent his entire life - from the age of two - at motor racing circuits throughout the world, and cites his hobby and job as one and the same thing. He owns several German cars, including a Porsche, classic VW Beetle and a Formula SuperVee Modus M2. He has competed in modern classic rallies, citing his class win in the Longleat Stages of 1990 as the most rewarding.

This book is a great book.A guide to each model with good information,good photographs make this the ideal buyer's guide.Owner's/would be owners and enthusiast will benefit from this book."Crowood Press" are known for good quality publications.A great book to add to any motoring book collection.

Too biased for my taste,

Read more as a story about the history of BMW, I found it to be lacking in use as a buying guide for someone unfamiliar with BMW. Considering it is a model by model guide I would have found more data on options and sub-models useful. And there is little doubt that the author is a very biased BMW driver. This is where it really falls down, according to this book each BMW is practically faultless so how do you choose?
