Unofficially works with Chicco KeyFit - see these instructions,
By Marc (Boston) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter For Single Strollers (Baby Product)
For some reason this adapter does not officially support the Chicco KeyFit car seat. Fortunately, the KeyFit seat fits in the adapter and is very stable and secure - provided you follow one simple additional step in the installation:
First, follow all the regular instructions for installation. If you try to put in the KeyFit seat now, you can get either have it be level OR secure, but not both. Not good. The problem is the notch on the bottom of the KeyFit seat doesn't properly lower onto the main bar on the adapter, because the secondary ("accessory") bar interferes. The solution: Remove the accessory bar. The accessory bar needs to be removed to use the included accessory tray anyway, so there are even instructions for how to do this (it is easy, just remove two screws). I'm sure for legal reasons the BOB people will probably tell you not to do this, but truthfully the KeyFit feels much more secure than it does in my Snap N Go stroller, which it supposedly is designed for. In my opinion, with the accessory bar removed, the KeyFit seat fits as well as the other supported seats I've seen in use. (Disclaimer: I'm not an expert, so use your own judgment.) This would get five stars if it officially supported the KeyFit and was maybe 25% cheaper. It is really just some aluminum tubing and a couple of screws, so it seems overpriced to me. But it works well.

With the car seat adapter installed the Bob stroller will fold completely and easily, but there is a mistake you can make installation that will make you think it won't.
I am usually quite adept and assembling products. That said, the installation of this car seat adapter is not entirely trivial, but if you are careful and fully follow the instructions and take time to understand them anyone can do it. The mistake I made on my first attempt was confusing what the instructions refer to as the "arm" and the "main bar". For some reason, I got them reversed in my head. The problem is that you can continue with the installation this way and the car seat (a Britax in my case) will click into it. However, a few things are awkward with this installation (difficult to move the hood, the angle of the car seat is slightly to steep, etc). But it appears to work except that you cannot fully fold the Bob like you could before. At first I was very frustrated and assumed I had installed it correctly but that it just didn't work well. However, I went back and carefully reviewed the instructions and realized that I has thought that the "arm" was the "main bar" and vice versa. I started the installation over from the beginning and it was much smoother. Now the car seat clicks in at a better angle, the Bob completely folds and the canopy moves easier. In hindsight it was a stupid mistake. I am writing this review to save other people from the frustration that I had. So, now I am very happy with the adapter. I will also point out that the kit comes with a foam block that is optional. It also slightly changes the angle that the car seat sits, but it is not necessary. It is a bit of a "hack" in my opinion. The bob does fold with it in place, but there is nothing really keeping the foam block from falling out. I am guessing I won't end up using it much. In the end, I am giving the car seat adapter only 4 out of five stars because the installation can be difficult to understand and I think it is a shame that it is not included with the Bob itself. It is a shame you have to spend extra to be able to use your car seat with the Bob. Finally, I will point out that this adapter does not work with all car seats. You should make sure that the car seat you have or plan to use is compatible before buying.

We love the infant seat adapter! The stroller does not collapse all the way, but it collapses enough it easily fits in most trunks. The benefit of the adpater is that you only have to buy one stroller until the baby is 55 lbs.! At first, I thought the car seat had to be positioned upright and our baby's head kept falling to the side. Then, I realized that you can situate the car seat almost flat and use the straps on the side to fit through the side of the car seat (at least it worked with our Graco SnugRide). We love the adapter and the stroller. I cannot tell you how many times I've been stopped by other Moms who ask about it. The adapter is a "must have" purchase if you buy a BOB and only want one stroller.

Unofficially fits the Britax Chaperone,
By Hana (Berkeley, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter For Single Strollers (Baby Product)
I rarely write reviews but since I struggled so much finding information regarding if I could use my Britax Chaperone infant carseat with the Bob Revolution stroller I decided to write one. First off...it works! I installed the infant carseat adapter to my 2010 Bob Revolution single stroller with the original instructions and had to remove the accessory bar so that my infant car seat would fit. I also adjusted the seat on the stroller to recline a bit so the car seat sits deeper into the stroller and is not so top heavy. No need for the foam block but I would definitely use adapter straps to ensure a snug fit.

Might be unnecessary,
This review is from: BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter For Single Strollers (Baby Product)
We own both the BOB Ironman stroller and BOB Revolution stroller. For us, this bar was both pricey and unnecessary. Although the bar works great for our carseat (Graco 32 Snugride), we only used it for a very short time and therefore wasn't worth the money.
As an avid runner, I still had to take about 6 weeks off from running after delivery. So, I was walking in those 6 weeks and I used this carseat adapter. By the time I was ready to run, my baby was mature/big enough to go in the BOB stroller in the laying down position (without his carseat adapter). Additionally, running with the carseat definitely adds weight and wind resistance so you will probably be inclined to stop using it as soon as possible. I did use some extra blankets around my son and was running on very smooth, flat surfaces but I felt completely comfortable with him in both strollers at 2 months old. Bottom line is that this is a great product, but I only used it for less than 2 months. At 2 months, my baby was ready to be in the regular stroller part. If you are looking to save money, skip this product and perhaps spend your $$ on the BOB weather shield or the BOB handlebar console.

Does not hold standard sized cups,

I gave this item a 3 because I only used it as a snack tray, and not as the car seat adapter. I know there are others out there who bought a BOB after their child was out of a car seat, so this review is for them.
I just got my BOB for my 21 month old son, and really wanted a cup holder/snack tray. This seemed like the perfect solution. I had read other reviews saying that the tray was too high for babies, and recommended using for older kids. Well, it did seem a bit high still, but not out of reach. The problem was that the cup holder part wouldn't hold my son's cup! We don't use any special cups, or anything gigantic, just a regular sized sippy, and it wouldn't fit. The other 3 tray areas are also shallower than I thought they would be, so shallow that I don't think I could really put any goldfish or cereal there and expect it to stay. One swipe of a hand and it would be gone. I also read other reviews saying that the adapter would not interfere with folding when installed correctly, and this is true *unless* you add the snack tray. I first installed the adapter all the way, then added the tray. With just the adapter, the BOB folded just as flat as without it. However, once the tray was added, the BOB gained an extra 2-3 inches of width when folded. Not a huge amount, but enough to be noticeable and worth mentioning. So, if you are like me and looking at this product for the drink/snack functionality, just be aware that you may have to get new sippys, you may lose some snacks, and you may have to deal with a slightly smaller fold. Until I locate something else, I'll just use the pockets in the seat as drink holders, and hope my son isn't too hungry! :)

Infant tray very poorly designed!,
This review is from: BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter For Single Strollers (Baby Product)
I agree 100% with a previous review that the infant cup holder tray sits way too high when attached to the same bar installed for the infant carrier. It is basically unusable. This product has had great reviews because everyone reviews it when their child is an infant, and no one has installed the tray yet. I can't believe that when I read the review 0 out of 4 people found it helpful. Believe me, knowing this before you buy the stroller will save you a lot of grief! I am very disappointed. I also agree with another review that Bob's customer service is non-existent. They did not reply to my email either. Other than that, the jogging stroller is great. But I may try to "fix" the cup holder tray to sit lower. Wow, what a poor design for a company that claims they pay attention to every detail.

We were so glad to have an attachment for the car seat and it works perfectly. However, you still AREN'T SUPPOSED TO JOG with the car seat attachment. You have to wait for the child to be old enough to hold his head up (per the instructions). We thought the car seat would be enough support and were looking forward to jogging, but we're walking only for now.

Graco Snugride not sturdy... others with same issue?,
By Kevin (Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter For Single Strollers (Baby Product)
I just placed an '09 Graco Snugride on the BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter and am disappointed to find that the car seat does not fit as securely on the adapter as I would have hoped. Neither the "grooves" nor the red hook" on the back of the car seat touch the adapter; a spot on the car seat half an inch above the red hook is the only piece of the car seat touching the adapter and thus, the car seat can rock from side to side fairly easily. Anyone else have this issue?
