if you're camping, in an area with bugs, or plan on running at dusk when bugs emerge- than this is a great product. it protects the baby from bugs flying into their face.

it's easy to put on when you get the hang of it. seems durable and will last. i'd give it 4 stars if it was labeled Bug Shield, but since they are advertising it as a sun shield, i feel it is very misleading.

as a sun protector, SKIP IT. i wanted it to protect from the sun's rays, but quickly learned it was pointless. since you have to retract the sunshield to get it on- the sun goes directly into your child's face. the oval is made of gray mesh and does nothing to shield the sun. only if you're facing away from the sun or out when the sun is directly overhead does it work. it will go on if you leave the sunshade down, it doesn't sit flat and there are gaps- but it can work. or assemble correctly and throw a hand towel over the top half of the oval.

bug protector = good.
sun shield = horrible

This is a must have item for BOB owners in summer. We live in CA and have endless sunshine and those annoying Santa Ana winds. This is great for blocking out winds and flying bugs too. It stops my boy from getting over excited and throwing his toys out where we may be.

As usual with BOB goodies it is very high quality.

I am glad I purchased this made-to-fit screen for the Bob Stroller. This screen is primarily used for the mosquitos that occupy our Minnesota landscape. It fits very snuggly on the stroller unlike the generic one we have for our Graco stroller.

Construction is very durable and should easily last for quite a few years as long as it is stored properly when not on the stroller. If it does rip; I believe this could be sewed,glued, or patched fairly easily.

Definitely would purchase again.

What my husband & I like about the shield;
1) Great at blocking the debris & sun from hitting our son
2) Strong, durable material
3) Great quality, especially compared to the generic stroller covers

Areas of possible improvement:
1) We wish the the cover had a window (just like the stroller does) on the top to peek at your child
2) For the price of the BOB strollers, they should include a cover. If there was a pocket and it could somehow be tucked away

We love our BOB Stroller and this is just a general statement but my husband & often wonder if companies that make infant/child products have children themselves :)

We use our BOB for a lot of trail walking. This keeps the dirt and bugs off of our baby. It does make it difficult to see in to see our child from the front unless you press you nose to the screen. But like any screened in porch it is easier to see out than it is to see in. Our child has no problem with being shut in, the shield allows in air and he can stay cool. An added bonus is that his toys don't fall out while we are walking, they get sealed in as well.

Fits okay, but the bottom front where the elastic draw string goes around the front of the stroller comes loose too easily. Use of the shade is hampered by that loose fit, especially when baby wants to walk, or get down and the stroller motor is messing with getting the sun shade to stay in place. I probably would not buy this accessory again but will keep it and use it.

We love this windscreen for the BOB. It shields our son from cold wind and direct sunlight. It's easy to attach and remove, and our son can still see out of the stroller when it is installed.

Here in San Diego, sun is an issue, but so is heat and my concern, after putting this on our Bob stroller is that there isn't enough airflow with this one, plus you can no longer interact with the baby at all. I wonder what I can get for it on Craig's List?

I use this a lot on our Stroller Strides Bob. Unfortunately, the only reason I use it, is to contain toys.

It doesn't block a lot of the sun's rays, which is it's intended purpose. Fortunately, I live in New England, so thats not a huge problem.

It doesn't let much air in - those sunny days you need this cover for? It turns the inside of the stroller into an oven.

It's not very easy to install - while you can get the cover fitted in a few seconds with practice, it's by no means a simple install.

Rain - why on earth they didn't make a sun/rain cover in one, I have no clue.

Price - It's a very expensive cover.


But - it does block some sun, and it does keep toys contained, and it's well constructed. Despite the above, I *do* use it frequently.

great, keeps bugs out, blocks sun. Would be nice if there was a combo option for sun/screen/rain since the rain sheild fits on the exact same way and we live in the land of summer bugs and afternoon thunderstorms. overal this product is well constructed and does what it is advertised to do, would recomend to a friend. A bit pricey but worth it in the end.
