Gr. 4-6. When best friends Kayo and Rosie heard their school was the latest target in a string of school vandalisms, they never imagined Rosie's dog, Bone Breath, would be instrumental in capturing the vandals. The brave little terrier not only plays a part in the vandals' capture, but also single-handedly saves Rosie from a grisly death in the grinders of a garbage truck. Although a few frightening scenes may prove too scary for sensitive readers, Kehret delivers some likable characters and a thrilling plot that won't disappoint suspense fans.
