This album is their best yet. There is not one song on here I don't like. I think they really outdid themselves with this one, and I cannot wait to hear them sing these songs on the tour. I have to save my absolute faves are We Own Tonight, Remix (I like the), Whisper, Crash, Now or never and "block party" * that one came with Itunes dl* this album is SO worth it. Its more ballads on this one, but even they are great haha, just an album worth the money. These guys still got it!!!

I was one of the many young girls that was in love with these guys back in the 80s/90s. My father swore I would be embarrassed I ever thought they were great... guess what Dad - "my boys" still are great!

I had the pleasure of seeing them live back in 2008 and while I was excited that they were making new music again, I wasn't exactly in love with "The Block". It was too adult for me, and not something I was willing to play in the car or around the house with my kids around. I did and still play the old NKOTB stuff around and my kids like "Mom's old music".

When I heard about "10" I held my breath, but then snippets started coming out and it brought me back. It really reminds me of the songs that I grew up loving, the songs that I would sing non-stop while dancing around.

The "Boys" picked out winners this time. The songwritters/producers on this album know their stuff. The harmonies are great, I love the lyrics, the music. It's rare that I have an album where I love pretty much every song and even rarer that I go out to buy an album on it's release date. "10" lives up to everything that I expect from NKOTB. I've been listening to it many times since I bought it over at Target (2 bonus tracks). Yes, the "Boys" are now men and they have improved with the years. I look forward to hearing more. 10 is a perfect 10!

Despite all the venom and hate spread in the direction of the Boston 5, NKOTB has spent years perfecting their sound as a group, and the proof shows again in this latest work. Critics may pan that they are not truly a "boy band" anymore, or that, in their 40's now, the guys are not the hit makers they once were, but after seeing their tour two years ago with Backstreet Boys, I knew that New Kids On The Block was not done with making great music. While the album retains their roots as pop singers with songs like "Remix (I Like The)", "Now or Never", and the dance floor movers "Crash" and "Take My Breath Away", it is the soulful expression of lyrics in songs like "Fighting Gravity" and "Jealous (Blue)" show that the maturity and growth was not in vain, and really make the album. My vote for best track goes to "Wasted On You", which aptly describes the intense feelings of lost love and time spent in a dead end relationship with a clarity of thought that resonates with heart strings that have the same issues.

Most songs have charged melodies with strong guitar riffs and heavy drum tracks that, while being strong, are not overbearing and actually compliment the lyrics and emotions being expressed in each song. Each member's harmonies blend and compliment the songs like a well-oiled machine, which after more than 20 years of work together should come as no surprise, but is definitely refreshing compared to the latest Top 40 fare dished out on the airwaves nowadays. The album overall is a driving force that demonstrates that the boy band components like Justin Timberlake and Backstreet Boys are not alone when making the transition from Pop to R&B, and NKOTB do it with a flourish to boot that was lacking on the last album.

Yes, the boys are back! I received my copy of this album today in the mail, and I've been listening to it all afternoon (as a matter of fact, I'm still listening to it as I write this!). The more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it. While "The Block" is still my favorite of their albums (and yes, I have every single one, including "New Kids on the Block," their self-titled CD), "10" serves up plenty to love, including photos of the dreamy "five bad brothers from the Beantown land."

For one thing, Danny and Jon, who too often remain in the background, actually get some solo time on this album. This, to me, makes this album the most well-balanced of all their other albums (with the possible exception of "Merry, Merry Christmas," where Jon and Danny each carry an entire song).

For another thing, relationships--from new and exciting to broken and painful--are really explored on this album. That makes for great fun (and daydreaming!) for the die-hard female fans (myself included).

And lastly, the harmonizing for which NKOTB is so well known is still present on this album (although "The Block" still offers some of their best).

Whether you are a true Blockhead or just someone who enjoys good music, "10" delivers. Buy your copy, slip it into the CD player, and let the five dreamiest fellas on the planet rock you "Back to Life."
